I used it to dispatch an amberjack and the blade was trash after one using. Once I was finished and removed the blade from the skull of the fish, the point was curled and the blade was bent at a 45 degree angle. This knife would probably be fine for smaller reef or fresh water fish, or to poke away a pesky shark; but not to do some serious penetrating....

Euthanizing a fish after spearing it is not only the humane thing to do, it saves you from getting finned or bitten, or losing the fish. This knife has a very sharp point that is perfect for a quick lobotomy. Only downside is the sheath is old-school, Could have come up with a better attachment system than straps, IMO.

I use this knife just for finishing off my spear fishing prey. It is a great and well-built knife for this purpose. Highly recommend this to any other SP diver.

Just recently received this knife and I like the looks and basic functions the knife provides, But the sheath is horrible. I worry that this knife will be lost on the first dive (just a little rubber piece to hold it) the sheath does nothing but keep the blade safe. I would like to put a wrist strap on this, but it will just get in the way of the only small part that holds it in place

puts speared fish fighting to an end quickly
The Cressi Finisher Knife is the perfect knife for underwater hunters especially spear fishermen. The stiletto style tip is perfect to disable speared fish. The Knife blade is made from Japanese 420 stainless steel with a black coating blade treatment for corrosion resistance and a great "stealthy look". The blade has one side with a straight edge and the other side is partially serrated. Knife has a line cutter on the serrated side. An ergonomically designed rubberized handle has a sure grip and a blade guard for added safety. The full tang blade allows the knife to double as a pry bar. The blade length is 5.11" (13cm) with an overall knife length of 10. 2" (26cm). Knife comes complete with a durable knife sheath with strap eyelets for fastening it to gear or the diver's leg with straps.
