I would give 4 stars, but as others reported, after 2-3 years of occasional use, they failed. They bend on the bottom at the end of the foot pocket, just above the Cressi logo. when that happens they feel like a broken fin. There is no tear, but bending marks. It is a design flaw. On a dive forum someone mentioned the same failure after a couple of years, while his wife's 12 year old black Pro Stars showed no signs of failure. It could be that the yellow version is not strong as the black, or something has changed in the design. I compared to the Cressi Clio I also own, while the Clio are smaller and not as powerful, they are better designed in that regard, as they have more reinforcement ridges all along the foot, so the same failure won't happen. I just ordered the Cressi Free Frog as a replacement, they seem better built, like the Clios, from the photos. Also both the Clio and the Free Frog fins are marketed by Cressi as durable and good for scuba rentals, so I imagine they have been designed to be longer lasting. The Pro Stars also feel quite rigid in the use, I like the Beuchat Mundial better.

Comfortable fin for slightly wide feet, but a very flimsy design. Mine bent and developed a permanent crease near the foot pocket on a dive, and are now useless. The left fin folds to 90 degrees when I kick. I abandoned them on a recent vacation. I saw that other reviewers had the same problem with this fin. Might be wise to spend your money elsewhere.

These fins are amazing for the price. They work very good for snorkeling, scuba or just plain old swimming.

Excellent full foot fin. Ruggid and sleek. Responds well to kicking power. Tried them out on a drift dive and they functioned ideally.

Fins fit me well very easy to put on and take off. Effort required to kick is about right for scuba diving .

I really like these fins, but unfortunately they run very big. I usually take a women's size 8 shoe. After reading the reviews I went down to a 6.5. I have a very narrow foot, and they were still too big. I was unable to use them, even with neoprene footies, without getting blisters. I tried on some fins locally, and realized that I really need a 5. I guess fins are designed with a men's template and not a women's, so if you are a woman with a narrow foot, go down a couple of sizes. Otherwise, great product and a great value.

These fins are on the stiff side and fairly wide in the blade. But for a good, efficient stroke they transmit the energy into motion. Comfortable foot pockets are slightly larger than the size indicates

I like this fins, the foot pockets are super comfortable. I got used to them easily. I use them for apnea and under water hockey and even though I like them and I get decent propulsion, I have to say I'd prefer stiffer fins, they might be too light weight for big people like me. About the size... I wear EUR 39 and bought 5.5 - 6.5. they fit perfect. Someone on the live chat answered all my questions, really nice service you have here.

The fins were purchased for UW hockey. This is a good product, although speed is slightly slower than in fiberglass special fins. This fin would be perfect for recreational snorkelling or spearfishing.

I have just purchase a pair of CressiSub Pro Star fins 41-42 / 7-8 from Leisure Pro. I just try them in my pool to get a feeling of the product and they seem fine. I will have the chance to use them in a couple of weeks in the Caribbean. This review is not much about the fins, as it is from the service I got from Leisure Pro. The ordering process went fine, but when I received the fins, they were 1 size bigger than order. 43-44 / 8 ½-9 ½ , instead of 41-42 / 7-8. The manufacture bag was labeled 41-42 / 7-8, so somehow the bigger fins ended up in the wrong bag. I immediately call Leisure Pro to report the problem. And then it happened… The best customer support service I ever received or seen anywhere. I talk to Shae at customer service. She is the most polite, dedicated and efficient person I had the chance to deal with in years. She send me many emails to keep me inform on this situation, and offered me some options so that I could be totally satisfy. After that we have determined that the shipping cost to return the larger fins was almost the values of the fins, Leisure Pro told me there was no need for me to return the wrong item, and I could keep it. They offered to fully refund my purchase, or to reshipped the correct size fins. I ask for a second pair of fins to be shipped. Leisure Pro checked their stocks to make sure the good product was in the good bag, and reshipped at no cost for me. I want to thank Shae and Leisure Pro for this amazing service and experience. What could have turn wrong was handle in a fast and professional way. I shop a lot on the net, but this the first time I feel the need to write a comment. 5 stars, highly recommended ! Hugo Rioux

Poor finish quality: excess rubber overhanging on edges, foot pocket drain holes blocked.

i bought these for work because of the impression that my Frog Fins made on me (100s of dives, rugged as heck). after just a few short months and less than 100 dives the Pro Stars are beginning to separate at the seams that join the different types of plastics. these are probably suitable to somebody who rarely dives, but i wouldn't feel right recommending them to an avid diver or SCUBA professional. i am still looking for a powerful / durable "daily driver" of the fullfoot variety and right now i am leaning toward the Mares Avanti Quattro. i hope Leisure pro will accept a warranty return and credit me toward the purchase of something more suitable. i will keep you all posted...

I have been hunting for a stiffer pair of fins for lap swimming - I want the benifit of resistance training for toning in preperation for scuba diving - these are the best ones I have tried to date - I am a happy camper! (Order a size smaller than what your shoe size is - I like a snug fit and had to do this)

Great Travel Snorkel Fin @ Price For Someone Who'd Rather Be Diving Down Than Floating At The Top. Fits Well In Luggage. Great Beach Swim Fin. I See Why Others Use For Hockey - It's Part Of Your Foot, Very Easy To Control, & Provides A Surprising Power.

These are good warm water fins if you like a high-resistance fin blade and prefer a slow kick or frog kick. These are good for warm water scuba or snorkeling. The big blade is not great for surface swimming, but is very good under water. The foot box is okay, but the toe area is awkward due to indents in the plastic molding. It hurts the toes on one of my feet but not the other. I like the overall shape and flex of the blade enough that I will modify or live with the toe area on one fin. This is a good choice for a diver who likes frogfoot or large IDI fins for cold water. Probably not a good choice for a split-fin diver.

Foot pockets get hard after a couple of years use. Used fins for ten days straight with out problems. Had a pair crack, two years ago, LP took care and replaced them. My daughter likes them, so I had to buy her two pairs.

I bought these fins to replace my split fins. I play underwater hockey, and one of my teammates uses these fins. My coach also recommended them as an "upgrade." I've found that I have better acceleration and a higher "top speed" with these fins. I'm also able to maneuver fairly well. The only problem is that they are slightly narrow and I have slightly wide feet, so my feet got a bit banged-up the first few times I used 'em. I wear socks with them now to help prevent my feet from being too destroyed after practice (which is 90+/- mins).

I dive cold water and use Scubapro fins. I use twin jets for surge and current, and Scubapro Kinetix (not split) for long surface kicks through the kelp beds to avoid getting caught up in it. I bought the Cressi Pro Star fins for overseas scuba travel to minimize weight. In pristine conditions like Grand Cayman I had no issue. In Papua New Guinea we had strong currents and I felt I was standing still. I am a powerful swimmer, and an advanced cold water diver, but I felt I was in quicksand with these fins, even though I was kicking forcefully to power through the current. Also, one fin nearly folded in half upon hitting the water when I did my giant step off the boat. It then flung right off my foot and I had to make a mad dash as to not lose the fin! These fins are too flimsy for serious diving.

Cressi Pro Star fin
By Papa
Very prompt delivery.
The Pro Star is a futuristic fin, deriving from the Cressi deep sea skin-diving models, which introduces the use of more reactive materials also in the full foot fin sector of normal length. Indeed, the blade is not made from copolymer but from exceptionally light and reactive polypropylene. This material is combined with a comfortable thermo-rubber (elastomer), used for the foot, for the side stringers and for various inserts.
The excellent, highly anatomic, computer-designed foot, guarantees optimum transmission of leg-fin thrust. The resulting cocktail is a formidable product that makes kicking easier and powerful at the same time.
The blade originates from the upper part of the foot pocket, with a 20% increase in useful surface area compared to a traditional fin of the same length. The side stringers extend for a good way along the blade, continuing in a protective seal around the whole edge of the blade. Two stabilizing flaps on the end of the blade, on the sole of the foot, guarantee excellent direction of the fin during kicking

The Rondine Pro Star is a sleek design that, like the Frog, Space Frog and Pro Light positions the blade on top of the foot pocket for optimum performance. The foot pocket is made of a very soft elastomer material that comfortably wraps around your foot, eliminating any foot cramping that occurs in many fins. The blade is made of high-performance polypropylene material.
