tim d : i have the Cressi Mini Pressure Gauge with Compass from leisure pro and after the compass popped out and looking for a replacement wondering if this will fit?Mario C : yes this is the one for the cressi mini boot for compass.DEAN B : It fits into a 2-inch hole, or 5.1cm.DENNY F : The fit is very universal.
DAVID H : I bought this for my Aqualung, doesn't fit. I bought this for an i300C. I saw an answer here that said it does, it doesn't. Twice the price for Aqualung brand. Yes?RICHARD D : mine fit in an oceanic console, I have no idea if it will hold in an Aqualung. sorry didn't see this sooner. suggest you measure the inside of the aqualung console boot and check the dimensions on the compass module before purchasing.Mario C : HI David, Cressi compass does not fit Aqualung console, you do need the Aqualung module for that console boot https://www.leisurepro.com/p-udrcm/aqua-lung-compass-module
SAM P : I have a Cressi Leonardo computer/pressure gauge console and I'd like to add a compass. Can this be attached?RICHARD D : You need a "Cressi Leonardo 3 guage console" that fits your dive computer, submersible dive gauge and a compass. If you don't have an open position on your existing gauge there is no way to reliably attach a compass to it. I use the Cressi compass module in a Oceanic console, it is a pretty standard size for compasses so it fits in an open position in most consoles.Theo K : I am afraid not. you have to have a console with a dedicated place to click in your compassions. A 3 piece console.Russell F : Actually it's called a console compass boot.Russell F : If you have a slot for it yes. Otherwise you might need to add on a compartment to your console to fit it in.
Mike B : What are the dimesnions of the compass? Not all gauge counsels are created equal.RICHARD D : Unfortunately, this compass popped out of my console and I just ordered a new one. This basically has 2 diameters, the bezel is about 2 and 1/3 inch, underneath that its 2 inches. This fit in my old oceanic console. There is a ridge running around the lower 2" portion that has a 2 1/8 " diameter or maybe a little bigger. There should be a similar channel running on the inside of the console to capture the ridge and hold the compass in place. On my first compass of this type, the bezel would not turn once placed in the console, so just set it to North (0) so that it aligns with the axis of the console. What I am going to do is place some silicon caulk on the inside of the console and let it dry to hold it in place when the new one gets here which should be any day. Ask again like on Wednesday 11/6 and I should have the compass in hand and will make more accurate measurement. The compass works satisfactorily for my purposes, not to get lost. However, I am tough on gear as I dive for lobster and spearing. You are correct consoles are all different dimensions over the years. If the console you have doesn't have a 2" opening on the face of the console, don't get this compass. Good LuckWAYNE G : I no longer own this compass. Thanks.JONATHAN O : Standard sized
ROGER B : Is this calibrated for the northern hemisphere ?Reid S : Most all compasses like this are pretty crude. There is no calibration per se, they point to magnetic north and that's about it. If you have concerns about declination you need to take that into account. For the most part in a scuba application you're just using a rough cardinal direction. I use it as a way to go out from the anchor point in low viz and then reverse it (using the lubber line bezel) to go back to the anchor point and it works pretty good for that. As long as you don't go more than 75 yards or so and the current isn't bad you should have no problem getting back to your starting point.Darryl Y : Yesjames s : YesAndrew C : Yes, have replaced two in the past 20 years and it has functioned without concerns in the CaribbeanAdelbert V : Dive compasses are simple. Find a dive book and read up. This is a perfectly good compass for diving. Anywhere. I used it scalloping and urchin diving. Watch out you don't set the tank on it getting out it can pop out of the console. There is also a book on dive navigation if you want advanced. I have it I think.Happy diving!GARY R : Compass always points to true north

Too big for Swiv

Nice compass. Sadly a little too big for my Oceanic swiv console. It is stretching out the console a bit.

Overall it is a good compass.

Fit great in my console. Little window view numbers not as noticeable as some other compasses. But it works for me. Just like to have a compass with me.

Excellent compass.

Functions and fits just like the older US Divers compass it replaced (and is no longer made). Fits perfectly in the US Divers Pivot gauge console. Easy to use, easy to read, easy to operate. Outer bezel has just the right amount of tension / friction. Simple but effective graphics (so you can tell which way is pointing north - some of the graphics on newer compasses have sacrificed function over style, like Aqualung, Aeris, and Oceanic). Compass face glows brightly in the dark after exposure to a light source. Side-view window is easy to use. Liked it so much I bought 4 - one for me, two as gifts, one as a back-up. Excellent piece of kit.

A Great compass at at ANY price!

I was looking for an exact replacement because this Cressi Module is a fine instrument and has served me as well as ANY I’ve used. And, it’s at a great price at LeisurePro. 20%less than the closest competitor.

good compass

I made more money because I didn't get too lost on low visability days with this. kept me able to get back to the ledges , very basic compasses use. I rarely used it to travel, where you hold it in front of you and swim a bearing. Keeps you from turning in a curve if you can't see much. This reminds me, I need a compass for the woods, I'll try this. You need a compass, this works fine.

Cressi Compass Module

Bought this item to replace the original compass in my console which failed after fifteen years and a few overseas trips and multiple trips to Bonaire. Fit perfectly in the console and works just as expected.

This compass works well in a US DIVER Pivot console

US Divers is a division of Aqua Lung. I had called Aqua Lung customer service to get a replacement for my old compass because the silicone fluid had finally leaked out after many years. They did not have a replacement unit to sell me as it was discontinued. This CRESSI compass works great and it looks identical to the old compass minus the Aqua Lung logo. It fit my PIVOT model console and octopus setup perfectly.

Accurate but hard to read!

This compass has the same form factor as the old one in my console that had too many air bubbles, so it fit right into the holder. The compass is very responsive and accurate when viewed from above. However, in diving applications it needs to be read from the side. Unfortunately, my sample was mounted too high on its pin, partially obscuring the directional numbers on the compass card. This makes it difficult to use in sighting a bearing.

Perfect fit

I had two hose mount compasses both of which developed large bubbles after 20 years of use and required a replacement. Already having the rubber hose mount housing and not wanting to change my setups I went in search of a compass module that would fit my current mounting system. This was it. Snapped right into the older holder and does the job I need.

Just what I needed

I don't have a compass on my gauge console and didn't think I needed one, until I needed one! I added this to my BC using a zip tie to fasten it to a retractable reel. This setup actually works better than if it was in my gauge console, but if you needed to replace the compass in your gauge console this would be an excellent choice. Now that I have a compass I find that I use it more than I thought I would especially on new dive sites. This definitely adds to my dive experience.

This compass works well in a US DIVER Pivot console

Compass is a nice fit!

By Peter M.

I have an old time yellow instrument console with 3 compartments for pressure guage, compass and bottom timer. This cressi compass fits nicely in the center compartment.

Many divers take compasses for granted, considering them just an accessory to their overall gear set up. Trying to navigate with a poorly designed or improperly functioning compass can be one of diving's more frustrating events. The Cressi Compass is an oil filled compass, robust and accurate for underwater navigation that ensures accuracy and durability for a long time. The Cressi Compass is a dual-purpose compass. The convenient side window allows quick reference of large, easy-to-read bearing indicators on a luminescent display for gun-sight accuracy. Or, for divers who prefer relative navigation, the ratchet bezel can be rotated easily even with thick neoprene gloves. The luminous dial of the compass is designed with a half black / half luminous graphic to make quick work of compass direction, especially in dim light.

The compass bezel has compass headings in 30-degree numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10-degrees. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course and a lubber line across the compass face. Compass case is manufactured from a scratch resistance polycarbonatefor strength and durability.
