I tried several 3mm suits. Needed one to dive on wrecks in Key Largo. This one fit me the best. The arms were a little loose; but, I wore a rash guard under it and was never cold all the way down to 130'.

This suit worked great with a 2.5mm vest under it when I used it for relatively cool water cenote' diving last month. I don't know that it would have been warm enough without the vest. I expect it will be perfect for most 'tropical' water temps, (e.g Hawaii, Caribbean). Size: Even though the Bare size chart indicated an XL Tall would be my size, I found that the XXL was a better fit, (I'm 6'-2" and 210 #'s). I

This is a poorly made wetsuit. The stitching around the knee guards (pads) was pulling apart when I tried it on. I'm 5'10" @ 160 so I ordered a medium. The fit was fine but when I bended my knees you could see the stitching around the pads pull and you could see what appears to be glue. I don't hick this wetsuit would last more than a few dives with it.

The lining makes this suit very easy to don, even for follow up dives. The seals really help keep the cold Midwestern quarry water out too. This has replaced my older 7mm as my go to suit when diving wet.

I recently bought this wetsuit and I’m so glad I did. It’s great. Very warm and comfortable. Well-made, nice attention to details. The wrist and ankle zippers make it easier to get on and off. I did about 20 dives in it so far, mostly in cenotes in the Yucatán. In water temps of 78-79 degrees, I was often the only one not feeling chilly by the end of the second dive, including divers in other types of 5mm wetsuits.

Fantastic suit and great service! I purchased this for a recent trip to Bonaire. The sales agent helped me determine the correct size (M-Tall, I am 6'2" / 180 lbs) and got it drop-shipped straight to me at the last minute. It fit perfectly and is a fantastic suit. It was perfect for doing 3 and 4 dives per day in warm tropical waters. I love the inner fabric. My only gripe was the "suit saver" kept scratching at my neck, but I eventually figured out to reposition it just a little bit and then trimmed the velcro just a little—a small thing and not enough to deduct any stars.

This suit fits me better than other brands. I wear a LS, I am 5’7” and weight 165. The rear closure is easy to use make no the suit very easy to get into and take off. The zipper has a loop at the bottom to hold the suit down as you zip and a suit saver tab on the top closure. Very well designed and comfortable. I am very pleased with my purchase!

I can't imagine an easier self-donning suit. The ankle zippers make pulling it on (and peeling it off) less of an adventure. The finger loop at the bottom of the main zipper is a nice touch for self-zipping. Fit of the ML is great for me, I'm 5'8" 185 w/ longer legs. I tried another brand (starts with H) and the legs were a little saggy above the knee, but not with the Bare. I think the material may be a little thinner than other 3mm suits, but I personally didn't buy this suit for warmth, as I run a little hot. I bought it for full-body sting/scrape protection and drying faster than a fleece suit. Dry weight, it's lighter than their Reactive suit by almost a full pound (tried that one too). The Reactive has better warmth, and ankle/wrist/back-zipper sealing, but the trade-off is more expense, weight, and difficulty taking on/off. The "H-brand" suit does have a better warranty and the knee areas may be more durable. But the Velocity is just very comfortable and easy. And as always, Leisure Pro is a breeze to work with for fast shipping and returns/exchanges.

I'm like one of the other reviewers, I question that this is actually 3mm, as I was in 83/84 degree water and it felt like I was wearing just a skin or 1mm. It was not warm, and I wouldn't want to wear this in anything less than 85+ degree water. I have a Bare Velocity 5mm and that one actually is 5mm and keeps you warm. But this one, no way. Find something else. First Bare suit I just wouldn't recommend. One of the first purchases I've been disappointed in at Leisure Pro as well. I literally have to spend more money now to buy another 3mm that actually keeps you warm. Buy this only if you run hot. If you run a little cool, this is definitely not the suit for you. It did have a good fit though.

By far the best Wetsuit I have ever worn. I purchase this suit in XL-Tall and it fits perfect for me at 6’3 230. The suit is extremely warm and easy to get in and out of. I have dove for an hour long dive in 64 degree water, and for a week of diving in Cayman with 4-5 dives a day with an hour or more of bottom time for each dive.

This is by far the most comfortable wet suit that I have ever worn. It's soft and super stretchy. The first time I tried it on my girlfriend said that "it looks like it was made for you". Yes, it was a little more money but, in my opinion, totally worth it. I wore it for three dives a day on a recent dive trip and my temperature was perfect. I am 5'11" 220# and ordered a large.

Nice fit and design but not the wetsuit for you if you tend to get cold while diving. I’m assuming the manufacturer is telling the truth that it’s a 3mm but it’s the first 3mm wetsuit I’ve owned over 20 years of diving where I was always chilled while diving in the Caribbean.

My old, stiff Scubapro wetsuit was in need of replacing. After doing a bunch of research, I decided to pull the trigger on the Bare Velocity Ultra. I am 5'10" and 192 pounds, and originally ordered the ML. That size was too tight around my chest. Leisurepro made the return and replacement with a Large very easy. The Large fit me perfectly. I did need to make sure that I had the suit properly pulled on, as at first the neck felt a bit tight. The suit is very stretchy and overall feels well constructed. Such a difference from my old wetsuit. The suit, not surprising, felt even better once I got in the water. I found it pretty easy to put on and take off. My wife, who of course is a bit biased, also thought that the wetsuit looked really good. I have a liveaboard trip coming up in a few weeks and I am really looking forward to using this wetsuit a bunch.

I frantically searched Websites a few days before leaving for Australia after discovering lat minute my schedule would allow visit to Cairns It's almost impossible to determine from recommended size charts what will in fact fit. I'm 5'11', 200 lbs, big belly. I found the Bare 3mm Velocity on sale. I called Leisure Pro and went with their recommendation XL. As advertised the suit arrived in 2 days, the day before I was leaving. It was a perfect fit. The suit was easy to get on and off , and kept me warm through three dives at water temp 83-84 degrees. I tend to get cold and a lot of people were diving with Lycra suits (provided by diveboat) but for me 3mm was exactly right. Easy sizing match for me makes it very comfortable no cons come to mind I wore it for a week two dives a day,quick rince,hang to dry and dry to done the next day

Ordered this Wetsuit in a XLT and it was a tad too long in the torso. I’m between 6’2” and 6’3”. I followed the return procedure and I had one in a XL very quickly and if fits perfect. I haven’t had a chance to dive in it yet but I am definitely looking forward to it.
