Questions & Answers

Ari H : I am just after the charger for this light, where can I purchase?Shopper : Any of the vape shops most of the stuff they use runs on the 18650 3.7volt batteryMario C : Thank you for your question. The link below is for the charger. https://www.leisurepro.com/p-blroc/orcatorch-c108-battery-charger BLROC
KATHY V : I'm not crazy about leaving my flashlight on for the duration of my dive. Is it safe for the flashlight to turn it on and off throughout the dive?fred o : I did throughout my week long dive trip without any issues.BENJAMIN D : I've had no problem turning the lights on and off during a dive. When in the ocean, I do this frequently (works great for looking un reefs). When we did a cavern dive, the dive master asked us to leave the lights on the entire dive. He said to cover the light with your hand or by putting it against our body if you wanted the light gone. The battery lasted fine for two 45 . minute dives being on all the time.DOUGLAS C : I have had no problem turning this light on and off at depth. Great light!JIM W : since the housing has o-ring seals its best if you need it a lot to just leave it on.. I have done both on-off during a dive or a cave just leave it on the whole time with no problemsJoseph C : Hi Kathy. It's a great flashlight to use, and I do turn mine off and on when it isn't needed. I just brought it 3 months ago, and I've taken it on all of my dives with no issues of running out of energy doing that. You are not crazy.Patricia F : I bought one for myself and my wife and we love the lights. We turn the lights on and off during diving. We barely turn the head on and off and have had no problems. The lights have 3 O-Rings. Just rinse and keep clean. Make sure O-Rings are lubricated properly.DALE E : It has an on/off switch and it's very bright, but small to carry or put in your pocketSUSAN M : I am currently using this light in Cozumel and I think my fellow divers are happy I'm not leaving it on the entire dive...... it's a very bright light and may bother other divers if it were flashing about! EnjoyRICHARD B : HI Kathy, I really don't know if it's safe, but when you turn the light on by twisting the bezel it makes the waterproof seal tighter. When you turn it off, if under water, you make the seal looser and vulnerable to water ingress. How much? I don't know, but batteries last a long time when your diving at 45 minutes a dive. It is BRIGHT too. Good luck with your decision.Brad B : I had no issues turning/twisting it on/off, just need to remember which way to twist/turn
Sabina I : Is the light supposed to heat up really fast?? I just runned it for 5 mins and got really hot.Stephen S : I have two of these lights, they are really great under water- not for out of water use really- they heat up fast.Patricia F : I purchased (2) and they are amazing! Spent a week in Barbados (11) dives and 3 days in Key Largo (10) dives. My Wife loves her New Torch! Can't tell if it gets warm underwater???? It does get warm on the surface but not HOT.AXEL B : Did you do that outside or under the water ? In my case I have been diving with it and turning it on under the water and didn't have any problems with it. I am quiet pleased , considering the size of the lamp, the potency with regards the price it's a great deal in my view .
DALE E : How big is this light? Will it fit in BC pocket?BENJAMIN D : The Orca 520 dive-light is about 5.5" X 1.25". It has a strap that cinches around your wrist. It can dangle without much distraction while diving. Liesure Pro a wrist strap that allows it to mount on the back of your hand. I just got one but haven't used it yet (search Orca Torch Nylon Wrist Strap for D500 and D500V Lights) to see it).BRAD M : It will easily fit the BC pocket.CRISTINA R : It is 6 inches or so, so it depends! I have a Zeagle Zene and I have to extend the pocket to fit it. But it is only until I get in the water, as we use it even during the day to look in crevices and under rocks. Once we found two that work (we got 2 for my husband and they were not turning reasonably easily), we are very happy with them!MING F : Will fit in most BC pockets. Of course if not you can just clip it to you BC.
Shopper : does this come with a charger?fred o : Yes, but not a fast one...CRISTINA R : yes, it does.HABIB M : yes, very compactMARY B : Yes, it comes with a charger. (Just make sure that yours also arrives with a battery! Mine didn't, so it had to be shipped separately -- at no extra cost, but some delay.)RICHARD O : Mine did.Mike D : No. I picked on up at the local Batteries Plus store.MING F : Yes the charger is one with a cord.

Excellent backup light

Another fine Orchatorch product. Simply a sturdy, compact, reliable backup light.

perfect for the job

It's a nice small light to use as a backup to my 3000 lumen on for lower light dives or just as one to have on hand on any dive that doesn't use much space.

great but...

The light is fantastic, just not a fan of the "switch" Because the switch is not a switch, but a "twist", turning this light on and off requires both hand. If you're doing photography or video, this is a bit of a problem. I ended up buying another orcatorch...one with a physical on/off button. Ill probably keep this light as a backup....it really is a great light, if you aren't doing video, or you happen to be an octopus ;)

Great flashlight

a great flashlight for murky water and shines a long distance too. the battery lasts a really long time but it does charge pretty slow. but just put the battery on the charger the night before your dive and you?ll be fine.

Decent Light for its size

Took on a lobster trip as my primary lite. Can?t say it was much brighter than my other 500 lumen lite, but having a rechargeable battery is a plus and it?s light weight is nice

Great light but charger is weak

Great light with lots of lumen power, small size, easy to hold and pocket with lanyard. Lost my last one so I bought another. Be careful though as the charger cord they send doesn't always fit the charger plug hole in the battery holding compartment

Great inexpensive light

It’s a good little light. The battery seems to last as described, it feels like it’s well-made, the on/off twist is good and positive. Makes for an awesome backup light and not a bad primary light for recreational use. I would buy it again. Great value. The red color is more pink than red but other than that I have no complaints.

Great light for the money

Great light for the money. Lasted many dives in Cozumel and Galapagos. Battery lasts well, easy to turn on/off. Great light for swim thru’s, highlighting interesting points. It’s not a photo light but very good for general use. Don’t understand negative reviews.

Great light at a great price

We used this light as our main light on all of our night dives in Bonaire. Never failed us and provided great light, I would recommend this light to any one.

Bright white beam

Very bright and narrow beam is great for exploring. Not great for video or pictures given the narrow beam. Lasts well over an hour.

Worked great for a night snorkel!

The Orcatorch was much brighter than the other dive light used that night. The Orcatorch was easy to control in the water, and easily secured.

Sleek, Easy to use, Long lasting battery

I was only able to use this on one night dive, but it did it's job. At first it was a little cumbersome to get the twist on/off together, but I easily adapted. I didn't have any concerns with it. The beam is quite direct. Overall, I would recommend it.

Hit or Miss

Outer finish corroded severely after first dive in Cozumel. Always rinse gear well but didn't seem to help on this light. Item returned via Leisure Pro to manufacturer. Received store credit 3 months later. Wouldn't recommend although others appear to have good luck with them.

Surprised...

Perfect for a nIght dive in Cozumel. Very small but powerful light. My fellow divers were impressed. Beam traveled about 20' before dying out in 65+ viz. NOTE: Octopus hate this light.

Very bright!

This little torch is very powerful. And, it's light in weight. It has a turn the head off-and-on. I don't like that too much. But this design only allows one entry of water...a switch in another place would add a second "hole." A little pricey but it really shines!

Very Functional, Reliable, and Cost-Effective

Totally loving this dive light. It's bright (1000 lumen), triple O-ring protected, rugged, and definitive cost-effective. Saw it used in a Goodman handle setup with a reputable European tec diving group and decided to try it for myself. Not overly bright (otherwise, too much back-scatter), and the aircraft-grade aluminum body definitely stand the test of environment. Took four of these down to > 150' a few times, in both sea and fresh waters, weekly multi-dives through sandy banks and rock bottoms lakes for two months, lights still look and function like new. Also, great battery live!

Great light for one this small

I have two dive lights. The other has an adjustable beam and a push button (very convenient because twisting the lights with three o-rings can be difficult), however, I keep coming back to this light because it is more compact. I use it mostly to look under dark reefs when diving. Especially helpful if the water visibility is low.

Casing made of low quality material

Took light on one dive in Hawaii, thoroughly rinsed with fresh water after dive, housing became badly "pitted" corroded. Light also stopped working halfway through the dive. Would not recommend this light to anyone!
