Was a pretty good light but only lasted 13 months. Crazy coincidence it failed 1 month after the manufacturers warranty.

Functions with High, Medium, Low, and then hold for strobe. probably around 5-6in, fits in the palm nicely as a compact light but also comes with a strap for the wrist, battery charger, Li-ion battery, and then a configuration allowing you to strap it to your hand where it is secured (different than string for cinching to the wrist by a string). one of the best flashlights I've ever held, definitely a solid feel, shock resistant, good for 150m or something like that, comes with 24 month warranty and a nice case for storage. Great buy overall

Great little light for the money. The rechargable battery, not included, makes a very powerful light at 1000 lumens for not a lot of money. Mine also came with a wrist strap to hold it which was very nice and I didn't know it was included.

Very good light, works really well, good size and comes with a hand strap. The down side is that there's no charger or battery included, but you can find these very easily.

The light works great, bright and easy to handle. Love the wrist mount for when I’m already handling a camera. I would have preferred the wrist mount adjust a bit smaller for when I’m not wearing gloves, but it’ll be perfect when I do have gloves on (which is most of the time). The box arrived broken (contents were fine) and Leisure Pro replaces it immediately.

I've had several orca torches over the years. I bought this one as a backup and used it several times before the switch stopped working altogether. Used it for several other dives before it started to corrode (yes it was rinsed after each dive) corrosion finally extended into the seal area making it unusable. I would not buy another orca torches with a switch.

I got this dive light at Christmas 2018 and attempted to use it for the first time in September 2019. While it looked solid, and I had high hopes for it, it didn't work. When I place a battery in it, it lights up on low power, which is what I understand it's supposed to do. However, if I use the switch to toggle it to high, it flashes a few times and shuts off. Then I can't turn it on again unless I take out the battery and put it back in, which limits me to low power only.

Great compact part of my gear. Not a fan of the wrist mount... except maybe short periods in caves. Button is easily accessible and doesn't leak. Recommend a bright yellow stripe of tape added in case its ever dropped as its all black. Strobe allows quiet means to contact other divers. Used extensively in warmer Carribean waters.

I've had a number of other back-up light over the years, but none is as well made and bright as the Orcatouch D500. Oh, there are better lights, but for the price, you're not going to find one that measures up to the D500 in quality and power.

Took this on a dive in Puerto Escondido using the supplied glove mount. The power/setting button was unreliable when attempting to cycle through modes, which was very annoying when we were already down 80' and needed it to look under caves and rocks. It seemed to drain battery very quickly, and it never changed brightness modes until we'd reached the surface. Not a bad brightness level for a torch, but this is probably better as a backup or secondary source. I'll keep this for shallower freediving and snorkeling.

This light has lasted thru several dives without a problem. Good size, and good lumen. Great in travel by plane.

The light works well as a night torch but it has it's limitations. What I like is that it's compact and bright and has a decent feel and lanyard. What I don't like is that the switch is very touchy and so if you don't want it turning on accidentally then you had better take out the battery. It switches on even when there's minor contact with the switch. Big problem.... Therefore don't plan on using it during the day or as a backup as it will switch on and burn up your battery. Also, I wish they would have considered using a different type of battery, even if it bulked up the light some. I like the replaceable battery but it's an expensive one and good luck finding one in a remote part of the work.

Actually I ordered a D550, they sent me the D500+ by mistake. This model doesn't come with a battery or charger. After contacting Leisure Pro about this error, they sent me a charger and 2600 mAh battery. Worked ok on land so I took it on my trip. As soon as it went under water, it stopped working. When I resurfaced, took it apart, reassembled, it started working again. The only way to get it to work (once) was to turn it on on land and keep it on until diving. This worked once. After I removed the battery to recharge it, reassembled it, it never worked again. Complained again to Leisure Pro, they sent me the correct D550 with battery and charger that I originally ordered. This comes with a 3400 mAh battery. Interestingly, using this larger capacity battery, now both the D500+ and D550 seem to work on land. Do I dare try them again in a cave under water?

The included hand velcro hand grip needs to come with a warning or it needs to be discontinued. It will not hold the flash light securely under water. The flashlight is a good product but mine came out of the velcro gripper and was lost during the dive. The wrist strap will work and is good. The flash light is awesome. Out of a flashlight cause I trusted an included holder.

I am disappointed that the special battery for this Dive Light wasn't included in the package. I now need to find it before I can use this light.

I am not pleased with this light. First of all, it uses a battery that can only be bought as a rechargeable. that sounds OK but I've tried two different brands of battery and returned one of each because the light will not stay on. Second the on off switch does not feel dependable. I had great hopes for this light because it is very bright but the bottom line is if it won't stay on in the dark I cannot trust it underwater.

Love this dive light! My dive partner (daughter) and I both used this light. My previous light was under 100 lumens. The BROT 1000 was far better at a reasonable cost. The light would penetrate far into dark lava tube caves. The glove light holder makes it very easy to dive with. However, if you have a small hand, as my daughter does, the velcro strap is too big to hold the glove down properly.

The edges became corroded even after rinsing after each dive. Switch button stopped working and light gets into flashing emergency mode. Useless. Do not recommend.

I like the the fact that you can adjust the brightness. Was on a night dive and at times the highest level seemed too bright, but the ability to make it brighter was good when I was looking into rock out crops. It fits right in the pock of my BC. Gets a little hot tho. Would not use it out of water.

I bought 2 of these , At first I thought these are great! Then on mine, the switch failed on the 20th dive, my wife's failed on the 24th dive. If I try to use either one now they go into SOS mode. We rinse them after each dive and still the coating is wearing off on the edges. You have to keep the body loosened up a couple of turns so the switch doesn't turn the light on in your boat bag. don't travel with the battery in the light, if it turns on out of water it gets hot.

Bought this is a primary night-dive light and it works very well. The glove that came with it is too small for my wife's hand, so bought a Goodman glove (also from LP) that worked great. As others have mentioned, it arrives without batteries, but you can find two batteries and a charger for under $20. The light turns on very easily with one hand, which is necessary when it's mounted on the back of one hand, where a twist-type would be impossible. That said, be sure to remove the battery when traveling as the light can easily turn on if bumped. All in all, a great little light. I'll soon buy another for me.

This light is constructed well and works great but it DOES NOT EVEN COME WITH A BATTERY. This was a total shock to me when I opened the box. I knew it didn't have a charger but the lack of battery is not listed anywhere.

Love the light. I've used it on a night dive in Belize and worked great. I love the multiple brightness setting as I found myself using the lowest setting most of the time. The neoprene wrist strap is way too big on me (I have tiny hand and wrist), but worked well for most adults.

Best light for the money.

Very bright and easily operated with 5mm gloves.
The OrcaTorch D500+ is a portable magnetic controlled flashlight for professional diving use. It is equipped with a totally sealed magnetic controlled side switch that provides flexible operation underwater. Using the latest USA CREE XM-L2 (U2) LED, max 1000 lumens output and over 18 hours runtime, this portable diving light offers three brightness levels and one strobe mode for different diving environment use. Plus, simple style appearance, robust water pressure resistant construction, we believe it will be your best lighting tool for diving.
The OrcaTorch switch uses a highly seawater corrosion-resistant spring. The switch provides 3-levels (modes) of brightness. On high mode the light provides 1,000 lumens with a burn time of 1-hour and 30-muinets, on middle mode the light provides 425 lumens of brightness for 4-hours and 10-muintes and on low mode the light provides 85 lumens of brightness for 18-hours and 30-muintes. The torch also has a strobe mode that provides 1000 lumens of brightness. All 4-modes are accessible with the single magnetic side switch.
The CREE XM-L2 (U2) LED has a lifespan of 50,000 hours and is powered by a single 18650 lithium-ion 3.7-volt 3000mHa battery (not included) or can use two CR123A/16340 batteries. The LED is placed in an alloy aluminum reflector with professional optical analysis. This smooth reflector provides a longer beam distance of 1,043' (318m) on land a has a hot spot beam angle of 8° with a 58° periphery angle. The torch is built to last, manufactured from aircraft-grade high strength aluminum with a premium type III military hard-anodized corrosion resistant finish. Light has a tough glass 0.16" (4mm) thick lens and is O-ring sealed with a depth rating of 492' (150m). The OrcaTorch D500+ is also impact resistant with test drop from 3.3' (1m). High efficiency constant current circuit provides constant brightness, reverse polarity protection prevents damage from improper battery installation and intelligent memory function, automatically access to the last used mode when turned on.
The light dimensions are 6" in length, 1.1" in diameter with the light head measuring 1.77" in diameter (152mm x 28mm x 45mm) and weighs 7.62 oz. (216 g) without battery. This small and compact back-up dive light will fit comfortably in your BCD pocket. The torch comes with a spare O-ring, a hands-free wrist strap, lanyard, hard side carry & storage case and owner's manual.
