Lost my GoPro using this equipment

On my 5th dive with this mount, the ball joint had a slight crack and my GoPro 10 Black, in its protective case, fell to the bottom of the ocean. I was careful with the rig (which included the two lights and hand grips). I had someone in the boat hand my gear to me after I was in the water, yet the ball mount lasted on 4 dives. By the 5th dive it failed and now I'm out $450 of GoPro equipment.
