Daniel M : Will this hose protector fit on a Blue Reef Flex Hose? SKU#BLRFHBC26darrick c : Hello Daniel, yes this would fit that hose.
Glenn A : Will these work on Miflex?RYAN M : I believe they will work well. The interior is ribbed to accommodate differs diameter hoses. While my regulators are standard hoses, they are very snug and had to be heated to install and have not moved. I know Miflex is thinner, but I think they will still work well. Can’t beat it for the price.FRANK C : Yes they will. I have flex hoses an they work fine.SAMUEL V : it does not work in miflex hose it does not stay adjusted so it does not do its function. It's good for old style rubber hose.SAMUEL V : it does not work in miflex hose it does not stay adjusted so it does not do its function. bdm b : Does it suit Blue Reef flex slim hoses (SKU: BLRHPHK, SKU: BLRLPFH, SKU: BLRFHBC27)?ART R : I concur with Andrew S, placed in boiling water for 15 seconds which softens it temporarily allowing you to push it over the nut. YouTube Scuba Tech Tips point of view is that not needed, but I wanted to protect it the old fashioned way.KEITH K : sorry i am not sureANDREW S : You will have to put it in hot water to slide it on I have about 6 of these on many units and seem to stay on very well. Like I said Hot water to silde them on easy. Don't use soap dosen't work as well.WILLIAM Y : I think you should be fine. The metal parts are still the same size. Just so you know it was a real bear getting them on. Only after recruiting the wife and soaking the protector in boiling hot water were we able to struggle the part on. Once it's butted up against the first stage, it will ensure you don't tweek the hose.WAYNE R : I used it on "regular" hoses. My son has the really thin flexi hoses, and I don;t think it would work on those. Wayne
Shopper : How many covers are usually needed?ROB R : I put 1 on each regulator hose I have 2.ROBERT E : i couldn't get mine on, even with warming it in hot waterSONNY M : Depends on how many hoses you want to protect on your regulator.RUSSELL C : I used one cover on each of the hoses coming out of my primary regulator. At my primary was where I used these and where other hoses had worn because I did not have any protection there. For myself, the cost of this hose protector is much cheaper than a new hose.WAYNE R : Use 1 for each uncovered hose on the regulator. Most regulators have 4 hoses (your breather hose, buddy breather hose, BC inflater hose, and guage hose) the inflater hose was short and did not need a protective cover since there was not much stress or bending. My breather hose had a cover supplied by the manufacturer (Oceanic). I put a protective cover on the buddy breather hose and the guage hose. These attach up at the regulator. My wife and I have same regs, easy to spot the difference now - I used black on mine and blue on hers. Works pretty good and easy to install (if tight fit, soak in hot water for a couple minutes - makes it a bit more stretchable)ROSS W : I have one for the first stage end of each hose in my setup. So in my case 3, one for the primary regulator, one for the octo and one for the BCD inflator hose. I don't have a high pressure hose since I use a wireless transmitter. Note the secret to putting these on is to unscrew the hose from the first stage then after having soaked the protector in hot water (like cup of coffee hot) for 2 minutes or so to soften them up then slide them over the hose. then reattach the hose to the first stage.RYAN S : I would say four ......but it depends how many hoses you have on your first stage. Hope that helps you out.KEITH K : you need one hose protector per hose installed on the end that goes to the first stageTIM K : you use one for each hose where it attaches to the first stage of the regulator.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?ABRAHAM M : pink for my daughterSHELLEY R : I’m setting up my husband’s reg and wanted protection for his new miflex hoses.ROBERT N : I already have one it works greatJOHN N : Dive buddies and I need them for LP drysuit inflator hoses.CHARLES E : PriceTROY T : CheepRAY G : Gear identification and hose protection.TIMOTHY M : Good reviews and inexpensive.CHERYL V : Purchased for hose protection and to be more recognizable in my gear.Timothy S : needed oneJAMES I : Want to give them a try.scott s : best price i could find. not really the look I wanted but will protect my hoses.donald m : not available where i amLEWIS R : to protect my hose

Easy to install

A good hose protector. Poured boiling water on and let it soak for a minute or two, then it slid right on. Easy.

Reliable Hose Protector

It's a hose protector. Works just as good as any other hose protector. I've never really had any to fail in my 25+ years of teaching.

Nice product

Does exactly what it says and fits snug. One tip I wanted to share: When installing these, first dip them in some hot water, and when I say hot, I mean HOT. I usually use a pyrex measuring cup and heat up some water until it's almost boiling. About 30 seconds of dipping the hose protector in the water and it'll slide right on - even on high pressure hoses.
