Questions & Answers

JOHN A M : Hello, does this cover the Philippines or would the one for the Pacific be better? Thank you, JohnKIMBERLY L : Hello, I'm not sure this is also good for the pacific but, probably. I really thought these little books were kind a cute and convenient for a quick general answer but, more probably a waste of money. Best to just get the books even though it is more weight. A good beginner teaching tool for fish identification though if that's what you are after. Good luck.DAVID S : We found this In-A-Pocket book great for the Philippines!WILL L : 1 dollar a page basically. Very short coverage of species in a huge area. JOHN K : To my knowledge they only have 2 pocket editions. One for Caribbean and the other for the South Pacific. This is a limited resource for the most common fish found in the South Pacific. Because of the waterproof nature of the guide we always take it on our trips to the South Pacific as a quick reference tool. Money well spent.PATRICK C : I'm a fellow diver and used this guide in Micronesia (Palau and Chuuk). I think it was pretty accurate and inclusive. I think that this guide would work well for the Philippines due to similar latitude. Not sure what other pocket guides exist for that area. Enjoy your diving. KATHARINE R : I think many of the Philippine fish will be in this little book but it's the only one you can take on the dive I think. If you're staying at a resort however I'm pretty sure they will have all the ID books you need. I usually end up using the 'land-based' books once the dive is over. Hope this helps some.CHARLES R : Philippines would be better.TIMOTHY S H : It does cover the Philippines
