Questions & Answers

Michelle M : can i view the inside page of log book?CHRIS B : The front two pages have a bunch of boxes for your name, certification(s) etc. I don't use them. There are 22 pages (2 pages, side by side) for dive logging, 5 dives per page. Total of 55 dives. Each dive has a box for: Dive #, date, depth, vis,Location, Shore/Boat, Fresh/Salt, Time in, Time out, Surface Time, Bottom Time on the left hand page. The right hand page has notes, dive buddy name and signature. Hope that helps..LEWIS H : I have the book but not sure how to send a pic
jennifer f : Do dive stamps work in this book? I have heard that, with waterproof pages, stamps tend to smear.MARTIN L : just let it dry its fineJILL R : You must stamp carefully and allow it to dry completely before closing the book. If you don't, you will have some ink on the adjacent page.CHARLES K : From my experience, the dive stamps have not smeared. However, just to be on the safe side, you might want to wait a minute just to make sure that the ink has dried. Hope that info helps out! BTW, I'm happy with the dive book.RACHEL T : They do work, but require a drying time to set. No guarantees as I’ve only done 1 stamp on this book. I hand write all mine.ANTHONY C : yes
virginie m : How much room is there for notes?FRANK W : There is enough room for a couple of lines of notes.MICHAEL S : I honestly never ended up using the thing, but if I remember correctly, there was a fair amount of room to write some notes in about each dive before you got the next section where you had to start putting in the specific dive info. I'm fairly certain, but not 100% because I don't have access to the thing right now. Still, my memory is good and I remember space for notes...(1/2 page maybe)DAVID H : There is room for 4 or five sentences of notes on one page and all the dive data on the other. Five entries can be put on each two page spread. I love it. I have all my dives for 10 years in these books. You won't be disappointed.DAVID M : It's a basic log book. I don't keep a lot of notes on dives, as I tend to revisit the same sites around Catalina Island: mostly viz, water temp, buddy's name, name of boat, etc. If you're documenting training for advanced certs, you might want a larger book. My only problem is remembering to use a ball point pen due to the glossy stock. Be safe. Dave Middleton Palm Desert CAPAUL M : For each dive (55 in log), there are dedicated spots to log Date, depth, visibility, location, dive type and times (but not water temp), as well as a small free-form area for other notes (about .75" x 4"). There are also 5 pages at the end that are nearly wide open that are apparently intended for drawing more detailed maps of your favorite sites.
Shopper : How may dives will this log book record?LeisurePro S : 55 dives.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?ROBERT W : Waterproof good reviewsKATHY R : My husband likes the small size.MATHEW B : I have used several of these logs since 2006 and they are compact, concise, durable. I travel frequently with my gear, so size and weight are important. Good product that has served me well.KATHARINE R : small & lightweight for an international tripKAREN H : I chose this because of the size. It is big enough to put in all the information you want, but weighs much less than the larger ones so it is easier to pack, especially when flying.

NICE SMALL LOGBOOK

I didn't keep a log book for the first 40 years that I was diving and found that some shops wanted to see one and it was helpful to keep track of dive sites and weights used and current etc., etc. I have been keeping one the last 20 years and use this small book and find that it has all the space I need and it is waterproof, well sort of, too.

Good inexpensive log book

Basic but will do the job and at a great price. Smaller size so it won't take up much room in your bag.

Can't find a pen that works

The concept is fine, but every pen that I've tried either bleeds or smears making the book relatively useless. Also, typical divemaster's stamps bleed into illegibility. I won't be getting another one.

Best Dive Log

All you really need to record dives with a minimum amount of information. Simple, concise, and easy to read.

Okay, but very little space per dive.

I am used to using a log book that has a 5"x 7" page per dive. I had read the reviews, and knew this log book didn't have as much space, but it's difficult making the change and recording a lot less information per dive. If you are satisfied with a really brief description of your dive, then consider this log book. If you prefer to record more details, look for something else. Also, the pages are difficult to write on. Having tried several ballpoint pens with poor results, I resorted to a fine-tip permanent marker pen which worked fine.

Good and simple for the travel diver

I was looking for a small simple log book to replace the NAUI one that I keep in my mask box for travel. This is just that: simple, basic, entry information for recreational divers that want a simple log of their dives and a place to put a stamp. If you only want to spend 3 minutes on your log book, this works fine. 32 log entries will unfortunately serve me for a few years. This is not waterproof, but who cares? get a Ziplock.

COMPACT & LIGHT FOR TRAVEL

Purchased because this dive log is compact, inexpensive and free shipping. It's a basic log with not too much detail. Could use a line to record water temperature and another line or two for comments. Bottom line: a functional, no frills log book. Pages are waterproof but I never carry my log books on dive boats, etc.

Perfectly Adequate

Many of the blocks per page are setup for unnecessary categories. I tend to record ALL dives on a given day in a single "dive block". That way I can log far more dives than the 55 total dive blocks would allow. We're not writing a book here, just recording useful information.

Love the log book, hate the sticker

I love this log book because it weighs nothing and takes up no space in my suitcase--so much nicer than those huge logbooks. But the bar code sticker on the front can't be removed without marring the book. It's one of those stickers that leaves behind a sticky residue. And so your choices are to leave the sticker on (a diver's Mini Pearl statement, perhaps), leave the sticky stuff (which attracts dirt and sticks to everything else) or use something to remove the sticky stuff, thus also removing the red ink and leaving a white patch.

NICE SMALL LOGBOOK

By C H.

Divers are required to log their dives for proof of experience; this handy 32 page waterproof 4.5" x 6" (11.43cm x 15.24cm) 55 diver log book allows you to write down the important information while you're still wet, thus eliminating the possibility of forgetting important facts about the dive and instrument readings included in logging a dive. Why wait until you're more likely to forget something, so "get-r-done." Wherever you go diving you need to have proof of diving experience. Without it you can be left behind on more experienced dives when you are qualified to make them.

Make sure you log all your dives and carry your log book when on a diving vacation. This 32 waterproof paper page log book provides all the important requirements for properly logging dives and information for preforming repetitive dives. Log book provides information pages for certifications, equipment and has historical date log on cover once all pages are full. Log book cover has an eye-catching traditional red & white diver-down-flag" logo for easy identification.
