Having light where you need it and your hands free.
I was very happy with my Bigblue HL1000n. The light works great, the pivoting feature is great when diving with a buddy just remember to use it. I liked having light where I needed it with my hands free. Overall it is a great light. Unfortunately for me, it was knocked off my head while wearing a 5mm hood and lost in a bed of undergrowth and silt. With THAT said, the only improvement I would suggest (I will make myself on my next one) is a lanyard. I would definitely like to have another one.

Absolute beast of a light for wreck diving. I recommend trying a tether to the red filter, but otherwise, it's ready to go!

The Bigblue HL1000N opens up a new world of possibilities, from night-time lobster hunting and underwater photography to camping and night trekking. Its adjustable straps and swiveling light head ensure that light lands exactly where you need it. Bursting forth with a brilliant 1,000 lumens and a clear, cool 6500 Degree K color temperature, this light uses 2 x XML LEDs to bathe your environment in illumination.
The HL1000N offers four distinct power levels with varied lumens and burn times, The light provides 100 lumens of brightness for twenty-hours in level-1, 250 lumens of brightness for eight-hours in level-2, 500 lumens of brightness for four-hours in level-3, and 1000 lumens of brightness for two-hours in level-4. Its sturdy construction includes an anti-corrosive aluminum alloy light head, a polycarbonate body, and a double O-ring seal, giving it a depth rating of up to 330' (100m). The lens is made from tempered optical quality glass, and a push-button switch with a battery indicator offers effortless operation.
Despite its robust performance, the Bigblue HL1000N remains compact and light, with an approximate weight of just 7.3 oz. (207 g) with batteries. Underwater, it maintains a negative buoyancy of approximately -2.68 oz. (-76 g). The light body measures roughly 3.32" x 1.4" (84.4mm x 36.8mm), and the light head diameter is approximately 1.53" (38.8mm).
