Shopper : Does the backbone significantly reduce the sag in the center of the kayak?Mario C : yes it does. most difference is noticed is less calm waters..Lilia V : I used the my kayak both ways. And while I feel more speed with the backbone installed, it did not sag without it. I felt rigid without it, but I prefer optimizing my speed and tracking with it. I love my Advance Element kayak.WILSON Y : Yes. I have very little sag using the backbone. The kayak tracks well and can handle various types of water.
