BRUCE H : Is this truly a "frameless" mask that has a soft edge and skirt or just a clear frame on an otherwise clear mask?LONNIE S : Yes, this mask is truly frameless. The only hard portions are the lense and the strap clips on either side. If is very easy to clear since it rides so close to your face which also gives a great field of view. I bought one and a spare and even bought one for my wife to use snorkeling.YAN G : Its a Frameless mask, meaning there is no hard plastic frame, only the glass lense attached to a silicone skirt.

Have patience...it will work. I have changed out my strap cover and that of my dive buddy's and it gets easier every time.

Good mask but....

This is a good mask but unfortunately it did not fit my face. It was too big and it leaked and fogged on my dives. I am an adult woman with a smaller face and hoped it would fit. As I have learned from other divers, you have to try masks on before you buy it. This mask was donated to another diver.

Wanted to love it

I bought this to replace a cracked Oceanic Ion 3 mask. I had very high hopes and expectations for this mask because everyone I know raves about it. It seems to be almost universally loved so I was looking forward to trying it. It fits okay but it doesn't fit as well as I had been expecting. I ended up keeping the Atomic Sub Frame mask and that is my primary one and I absolutely love it. This isn't a bad mask by any means but for me, it just wasn't what I had hoped for. The fit isn't perfect and it's not as comfortable as I had been hoping.

Atomic Aquatics Frameless Mask

I mainly use my mask for taking pictures while snorkeling. It has an incredible range of vision so I can identify underwater life quickly. I have a narrow face and chose the smaller fitting mask. No leaks! And no my children's masks!! I've also used my mask in our swimming pool to check the liner. Love this mask!

Possibly best mask ever owned

Field of view is outstanding. The soft area around the nose pocket is an area I had trouble with in the past. This mask is excellent in that respect as the comfort is great, and I can use it for extended times because of the fit and non leaks. Glad I went ahead and purchased this mask based on the reviews here.

Nice mask but leaks

I love this mask; it's made with quality materials and fits nicely. However, it constantly leaks and when I dive head first or look up to the surface it seriously floods. I'm considering switching to my Mares mask (a backup).

I bought this mask on a recommendation from the dive shop, no regrets. Had to buy one for my wife since mine was so nice. Also recommended to two buddies and they all agree that this mask is FANTASTIC! Extremely comfortable and easy to clear. There are no little area that things are in the way of your field of view. I have the black one and a buddy bought the clear. If you do not mind the dingy coloring of the clear after a while of use, it is fine. The black always looks great. Highly recommended if you have a thin face...

Love this mask

The fit is great, the vision is even better. You don't even feel like you have it on. I bought the medium size becuz I have a small narrow face - works great. Like most new masks you really do have to give it 4 or 5 good scrubs with toothpaste, don't forget to clean the inside skirting or you'll have some fogging issues.

Love this mask! Photographs well.

I absolutely love this mask and highly recommend it. As a woman, this mask fits me extremely well and has a large field of vision. My husband is an uw photographer and he is able to capture my eyes in pictures using this mask and has multiple compliments about really the mask looking like it's not even there. Just bought this also for my 14 year old daugher who is awesome to see her in this mask. Highly recommend this mask, you won't be disappointed.

When you learned how to dive your instructor told you the most important part of choosing equipment was comfort and fit. When looking for a mask you also need a great field of vision well this mask was designed to meet those and more desirable qualities. Frameless masks give the diver the widest field of view in a single lens mask design. The mask skirt is made from high quality silicone and has a low volume profile to add to the increased field of vision. Low volume also makes mask clearing easier due to less water needing to be displaced. Mask is equipped with easy squeeze adjust buckles that are mounted behind the lens for a more hydrodynamic design.

The Atomic Aquatics Frameless Mask is focused on fit, comfort and a wide field of vision with its large tempered glass lens and close-fitting skirt work in harmony to create perhaps the widest viewing angle of any frameless mask design. The lens shape was computer designed to maximize upward, downward and side-to-side vision. Because an external frame is not needed, the viewable area of the lens is optimized.

The Atomic Aquatics Frameless mask model offers a new standard feature never seen or seen through before in a diving mask. They call them UltraClear lenses. What makes UltraClear special? Did you ever notice that normal dive mask lenses have a green tint to the glass? To see this tint, put your existing mask up to a piece of white paper and see for yourself. The green tint you see is the result of iron impurities left over in lower quality float or window type glass. That green tint distorts true colors and blocks out some of the light that reaches the eye. UltraClear is a new and exciting optical quality glass with exceptional clarity and high light transmission, with no color distortion. The exceptionally high light transmittance and lack of distortion in the UltraClear lens maximizes the light available for improved visual acuity, especially underwater in low light conditions.

The Atomic Aquatics Frameless Mask has a double feathered edge skirt that provides an excellent seal on the diver's face with a one-handed nose well for easy ear equalization. The wide split mask strap increases the mask's ability to conform to your face adding to its great salability.
