Fins are great but there were shipping problems and scuba.com was basically worthless. I would buy these again but not from scuba.com.

bought these originally cuz i thought they looked cool and i was getting atomic stuff. never had split fins before, definitely took getting used to. the foot pockets seem a little smaller than average, i did have issue with the boots with full soles, but the normal ones work fine. but the best feature is the straps. they make putting em on and off much easier than others i've seen. and yet there's no issue with them slipping off during use.

Most comfortable fins I've ever worn! I was using the Mares Avanti Quattro fins (2x pair) but found that I'd start cramping up a bit and with a small bone spur on my knee felt some pain) so John talked me into these. They don't have the same propulsion and the quattros but they are above adequate and I never cramp or feel knee pain.

The spring in the heel strap makes it easier to get on and off while wearing all my gear and a full neoprene wet suit. Thats important here in the Northwest where the water is cold and the salt water makes additional weight mandatory.

As always, Leisure Pro does great with getting things right, even if correction is required. The fin is very nice, and the spring straps are going to be very effective. I have used springs before and didn't like them because the fin felt like it was coming off. The boot pocket on this fin is MUCH tighter around the foot, eliminating virtually all movement inside. Because of the tight pocket, I had to go up a size to an XL to accommodate a thicker dive boot. The L that I got initially was right for my shoe size, but woefully too small to fit my boot properly.

have been teaching diving for 30 years. These are the most overpriced fins I have used. Not very powerful. Maybe good for new divers with less leg power. I scull a lot at the surface teaching so split fins do not work for that type of kick. I gave mine away.

I have Osteoarthritis in my knees and fell badly on my right knee last winter. I was afraid that that i would have a lot of pain while diving.... so I opted for these. I am so glad I did ... they are perfect. They let me enjoy the sport that, I love without any worries.

LeisurePro is GREAT company! I send all my divers to this site. I've used many fins & these are my favorite, VERY smooth & very little effort is needed to propel yourself underwater.I'm never "sore" the following day after diving. Spring clip in system is AWESOME!

I wore Scuba Pro Twin Jets for 5 years. I tried this fins and oh my god!!!!!!! What a huge different it is now to just cut throught the water and not work so hard to get where you wanna go. Simply the best fins I have ever used. Leisure Pro is a great company and I will never get any equipment from anywhere else.

I bought these fins to replace my Rocket Fins which were 30 years old and wanted something new, high-tech, and light weight. Based on the reviews I felt I had a good set of fins here. The fins lived up to being high-tech, and light weight. Under normal drift-diving conditions these fins performed fine. However, once the current came up a bit or you had to move fast under water, or were on the surface, these fins left a lot to be desired. I was actually happy when the live-aboard dive boat I was on lost my fins.

great for water without current but not so good in the ocean with current around reefs. Use only in calm water. Are definitely the fins to wear during certification class

Very nice fins with great straps. They ooze quality but they are quite big and heavy. In other words not the best travel fins but they do what they promise.

Great for scuba diving. A few little flutter kicks and your hauling tail through the water and you don't even realize it because you have to kick so little. Awesome awesome awesome fins! If I have a con its that they are a little long so you don't want to take a jog in them. On my first dive I found myself kicking things without even realizing it but it just took a few dives to get used to it. I don't want any other fin on my foot!

These fins has been a disappointment to me. I experienced the top of the fin near ankle, splitting and split too far to dive with. Atomic replaced the fins at no charge, twice. The retailer where my friend purchased the fin replaced them at no cost. Every pair I had came apart at the exact same spot. Everyone I know who dives frequently here in S. Florida has had them split. They are probably okay for the once or twice a year diver.I would never purchase fins from Atomic again! The dive shop will not carry them anymore either.

HANDS DOWN OR FEET DOWN THE BEST FINS EVER. I HAVE HAD FULL FOOT AND STRAP FINS. SPLIT AND SOLID. YOU MUST WEAR THESE WITH A BOOT, PREFERABLY ONE WITH A STRAP BUMP ON THE HEEL. THESE ARE TRULY SO COMFORTABLE THA THEY FEEL LIKE YOU NOT WEARING FINS. PROPULSION BETTER THAN MY FULLFOOT SOLID AQUA LUNG.

I've done just 10 dives with these fins. I took them with me on vacation to Fiji. They will not fit into every suitcase. Likely I have a big one and they fit in just fine with straps removed. On the island I met a dive-instructor who use same fins just in different colour for the last 2 years and they looks like new to me. The only thing she said that colour has faded because she exposes them to the Fiji sun a lot. I use boots for shore dives with thick soil. This I would say is the only concern. I where US size 10 and bought fins in Large size. They fit snug. The spring straps are tensioned a good deal, but does not cause any discomfort. Because of snug fit it's also a bit problematic to put them on and off, but this is very minor issue. May be I'm just too picky. Other than that they are excellent fins: performance, no fatigue what so ever, and the spring straps are good.

Used in 78-80 F salt water boat dives. I read Q&A where LeisurePro said these are negatively buoyant... incorrect. Fins are POSITIVELY Buoyant, so ankle weights are a consideration. Extremely easy to get on and off. Great in variety of conditions from stronger current drift dives to very little current. Fit well with 5mm booties and comfortable. Overall, I would recommend these fins and am pleased.

I own the scuba pro seawing and like the weight, easy on/off but they are a bit more buoyant when just surface snorkeling. I broke my ankle and could use them but with slight pain. So my hubby got me these SPLIT FINs that looked bulky and heavy. Do NOT judge it from the looks. These split fins are like butter in the water. Everyone borrows them and then buys them!

The steel spring straps on these fins are excellent. Also, Kicking is very easy with great propulsion. Foot pocket was larger than I expected, and too big for use with a bootie, but perfect for use with a molded sole dive boot. They're very lightweight, but also rather long (around 32 inches), so maybe difficult to travel with. Overall though, an excellent fin - well worth the money.

I am a shoe size 13 and use a hard sole boot. These fins are very comfortable and DO NOT pich my feet like a lot of other fins. Also easy to don and doff with the spring heel strap. They are large .. but .. they are WORTH IT! If I were a size #10 (as someone asked) I would get the Large size. I am a retired scuba instructor; NAUI, PADI and SSI.

I've used this for snorkeling and scuba diving during my open water padi classes. They put me in the back because I was so fast during the training dive. I feel if I kick like twice im passing everyone! Best thing about these is I dont even feel like I have them on!

I used these fins for both my free diving hunting and for scuba. I have noticed a big difference as to how much easier they are on my legs. The fins feel as if nothing is on your feet yet I have not lost any ability to get through the water.

I was a split fin skeptic until I tried these fins, and I was immediately blown away. I used to get calf and thigh cramps, where as now I can hardly tell there is anything attached to my feet. They have great propulsion with little effort, and the spring straps are awesome. I did a direct comparison with the Scubapro Twinjet Max, and found these to be less fatiguing. Can frog kick with them as well. They are expensive, but worth it!

At the beginning I was septic on what the people have to say about this product, but I tried them this morning. I was able to notice by my self that these fins reduce of many the fatigue in my legs besides offering a propulsion superior compare to conventional fins. I like them and I plan to buy another pair for my son.

Work well.
Super fins!
By JOHN B.
Very efficient when used with a flutter-kick, which took a little acclimation. Once I stopped over-kicking, the advantage of the split fin became apparent. Easy to grasp strap loop makes getting on/off easy, even with gloves.
Split fins have become the most popular style fin in diving today. Just look around when you are out beach diving or on the charter boat and you will soon discover that more divers are making the switch to this style fin. Why are they so popular? They are popular because they work, and you, work less! A split fin performs more like the combination of a whale's tail and a propeller. When you kick the two separate blades twist and create more of a propeller surface which will increase your propulsion and lift. You feel as if the fin is not strong enough to keep you moving as fast as you are accustomed with your full bladed fin, yet you cover the same distance in the same time.
Less drag, more thrust and most important less strength is used. The split fin design is not only unique; it uses the latest technology in composite plastic polymer materials to give a light fin (great travel fin) and one that increases thrust and reduces fatigue. Fin is equipped with EZ-LOK squeeze-style quick-release buckles which snap-on-and-off with ease yet will not disengage accidentally, and the spring strap that automatically compensate for boot compression and adjust with changes in depth. The spring straps are rust resistant stainless-steel springs were designed with variable pitch geometry. Divers get a more comfortable fit and easy one hand removal with the large rubber thumb tab, yet the springs are resistant to deformation if overstretched. Spring straps are included on the Smoke on the Water Split Fin and available for all Atomic Aquatics Split Fins or as a universal retrofit for other brands (see SKU: ATMFSS).
Extensive R&D and testing yielded the perfect formula of flexibility and rigidity for efficient propulsion. Atomic Aquatics multi-composite plastics result in a powerful kick that requires less effort, stress and strain meaning less air consumption. The power rails are highly resilient and perform as the backbone of the split fin, storing and releasing energy with every kick. The semi-ridged flex battens set in the soft elastomeric blade, control the precise wing shape to optimize thrust and reduce drag. The large surface area blade improves pivoting, turning and alternate kick styles.
Thin, yet strong and highly flexible hinge points between the semi-ridged battens cause the blade to react quick-and-efficiently to the slightest kick. The Anatomically contoured foot pocket designed to fit your foot without stress points, with semi-open toe for added comfort. The internal sole plate creates ridged platform beneath the foot for greater power transfer to the blade yet provides a soft, comfortable open heel foot pocket. Fins are available in multiple sizes So, make the switch and use less effort which equates to less air usage and longer more comfortable dives.
