Great for weighting surface marker

We use this to keep our surface marker in place for shore dives. Very easy to fill with shot weight or rocks/sand.

will hold 5 lb but best suited for 3 lb

So here's a summary. This is actualy pretty good. There opening is velcro line so you just squeeze the opening shut. Using soft lead shot packs 3 lbs - velcro closes 100% 4 lbs - velcro closes 70% 5 lbs - velcro closes 0% (wont close at all)

Easy and adjustable

These work well. I bought buck shot from the local Bass Pro Shop/Outdoor World and filled the pouches to 4 and 3 lb levels. I plan to buy more and make some 2 and 1 lb weights so as to always be able to adjust bouancy as closely as possible. One could also make these in 1/2 lb increments. They fit well into my BC. I marked the filled ones with a cloth paint I bought at a local fabric shop. Bottom line is it's less expensive than buying prepackaged, adaptable to any weight increment up to 5 lbs, and fully functional.
