Charles C : I'm going on an extended surf trip where fresh water is not available most of the time. Would Sink the Stink work at all using sea water instead of fresh water? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.PHYLLIS M : I really don’t know, from a chemistry standpoint. However, I’ve tried several brands of dive gear destinker over the years, and this stuff is by far my favorite. I’ve even used on carpet that got wet to help residual mildew smell. I’d give it a try...make some dilute salt water, add a little sink the stink, soak some skanky socks, gym shorts or shoe insoles, and see if it helps. Have a wonderful trip—hope it exceeds your expectations!GEORGINA P : I always use this every few days during my scuba trips but it's always been in a fresh water tube. I don't see why it wouldn't work just to keep the suit somewhat fresh smelling. Then after you get home really soak your suit in fresh water and "sink the stink". Just heard back from the company president who says yes! it will work with salt water, his words exactly were: "The product will work well in sea water but I would double the dose as the seawater varies wildly and there is no way to tell how nutrient rich the water is. robert w : I got the small yellow tube with my new wetsuit. the print is so small I cant read it. Can I get directions ?Steve S : Dispense 1/2 oz. from the 4 oz. bottle, or twist open a 1/2 oz. (15ml) Turtle Pak and squeeze the contents into 10 to 20 gallons of warm water (A quarter to half filled bath tub). Mix thoroughly. Immerse wet suits, booties, skins, BCDs and other gear in Sink the Stink®, making sure that all surfaces are thoroughly saturated. Most odors will disappear immediately! Soak for 5 to 10 minutes while agitating the equipment occasionally. An overnight soak will take care of really tough odors and stains. When ready, simply drain and hang the items to dry. Do not rinse again in fresh water. The biological odor reducing activity will continue until the material is completely dry.DEAN R : I relate to your problem with small print. I use a magnifying glass a lot! Also, if available, buy the larger bottles. I soak our wet suits, boots etc in a bathtub with 11/2 to 2 oz of StheS overnight. Let the articles drip dry. Do not rinse! Since this is a new wet suit, I assume that you have not had the joy of returning home after a week of diving in a location with poor rinse facilities. When you do, you will treasure Sink The Stink!JOHN C : It is probable a single use packet. Directions: fill a large container( I use a plastic garbage can reserved for soaking dive gear in) with warm water and the contents of the packet. Add wetsuit. Kill the STINK

I use this on every saltwater dive trip, keeps my dive wetsuit smelling great every several days of diving. We all know how bad it is being next to that one person with a BAD smelling suit. Don't be THAT person.

Nothing keeps a wetsuit fresh like this stuff. It's especially good if you need to pack your wetsuit before it dries, or if you're one of those rare ;-) divers with imperfect bladder control.

Old reliable--as needed as fins and mask

I am a firm believer in properly cleaning, rinsing, drying and storing all my dive gear after use. I manage to get a lot more life out of some things than others do. Sink the stink should be as much a part of your routine as is brushing your teeth!

Great Stuff

Follow the intstructions and you'll have GREAT results! Once, I purchased and used McNett Mirazyme; it's cheaper and not nearly as effective as Sink-the-Stink. Although I usually dive dry, I will only use Sink-the-Stink whenever I use my wetsuit!

Works to remove the stink

If used as directed this product removes the fishy order that seems to develop in your neoprene suits, gloves and booties that is almost impossible to get rid of. We have tried other methods of trying to clean our gear and this has been by far the most effective.

Does what it says

I got a few of the sample sizes and tried them out on my last trip to Bonaire. It does what it says...sinks the stink. I usually bring a small container of Woolite to wash my gear at the end of a trip but thought I would try this. It is comparable...doesn't foam too much, cleans well and most importantly, keeps the gear from smelling like dead fish when I open the suitcase back at home.

Sink the Stink is a natural, environmentally friendly, state of the art product, specifically formulated for the diving, surfing and water sports community. Sink the Stink biologically eliminates the odors commonly found in neoprene wet suits, BCDs and dive skins, including urine, mildew and other gnarly smells that can knock the Oakleys right off your face. Water sports odors are produced by bacteria, called stinkers", found in both salt and fresh water. Stinker bacteria consume organic matter like algae, bacteria, pollution, waste matter and urine. When a stinker starts munching, it produces a minute amount of foul smelling waste products. When billions and billions of stinkers have lunch in your wet suit or dive skin, you have a serious problem.

Sink the Stink is a synergistic mixture of four special odor destroying bacteria cultures which are kept in a state of suspended animation while packaged in their bottle. As soon as the Sink the Stink concentrate is mixed with warm water, its bugs spring into action and start a seek and destroy mission on the organic waste matter they find in neoprene, nylon, Polartec and other items immersed in the solution. Sink the Stink microbes eat and reproduce very aggressively, but unlike their obnoxious, flatulent cousins, they produce only odorless carbon dioxide and water. Soon the Stinker bacteria are out of food and out of luck.

Sink the Stink forms a bio-film that penetrates deep into neoprene, eliminating urine and other contaminants absorbed under pressure. This deep cleaning is impossible with shampoos and cleaners used at one atmosphere. When the Sink the Stink microbes have done their job, they quietly expire leaving behind a thoroughly clean environment. Sink the Stink is ready to use. Dispense 0.5 fl. oz. (15 ml) from the 4 fl. oz. (118 ml) bottle, and mix contents into 10 to 20 gallons (38 to 76 liters) of warm water (A quarter to half-filled bath tub). The 4 fl. oz.
