carlos a : Is the Slate a biodegradable plastic? , if not what kind of plastic is it and the thickness?JAMES H : It is not biodegradable and it is just less than 1/4 inch thick. You will need a mr. clean magic eraser to clean off the writing while under water and above water.ERIK F : This slate is not bio-degradable. I'm not sure what type of plastic it is, it's probably 1/8th to 1/4" thick. It's pretty hard and sturdy. Although it is not bio-degradable, it is re-usable. I have a few of these and my oldest is about 6 years old. Write, erase, and use it again.
Ann M : Hi is this a two page slate? Thank youJAMES C : Yes. You can use both sides of the slateIvan B : No😊JOE G : Not sure what you mean by "two-page" but you can write on both sides. My wife & I both use this slate and are extremely satisfied.
Hope this helps.GINA I : Back and front is useableLISA A : Nope- it’s one piece. But you can write on the front and back of it.WILLIAM W : No it's just a hard slate, and I bought it for white balance for my dive cameras...LARA A : You can write front and back. Just one "page."JAMES P : No. The one I have is only one.JAY N : Hi Ann:
This Slate is two (2) sided...it does not have 2 separate pages. I like it and use it when I teach students in the Open Water Class. Easy to grip pencil is also great.......ERIK F : Single page, writable on both sides. FYI, it has a short cord. You have to unclip it to write comfortably. Not great with heavy gloves.JOE N : hi, ann m., i'm not really sure what you mean by a "two page" slate. it is one piece of plastic; you can write on both sides. i love mine: it uses a plastic mechanical pencil with a thick lead. in other words, easy to read and perpetually sharp. also, i changed out the "spiral telephone" cord with a piece of surgical tubing.
i hope this helps! diver down, scuba joe
John H : Is this super pencil a wood pencil or something different?STEPHEN S : The pencil is one solid piece of graphite. As you need more, loosen the end and slide the graphite down, then sharpen as needed. It doesn't fall apart like wooden pencils eventually do over time.TIM J : it is a solid graphite inside. you adjust by turning the the orange end to let out more graphite. sorry this responce took so long.RANDAL J : No, not a wooden pencil. Heavy gauge plastic "tube style" with lead inserts. An over-sized mechanical pencil so to speak. Writes well, good visibilty and stores on the edge of the slate.
Only downside is that it is a little larger than will fit easily on most BC pockets. If you just want to clip it to the BC it's great. Pocket storage might be a challenge.ARIES B : Not wood, it's a composite material. Works great so far for teaching! ELISABETH R : It's not a pencil like you are thinking. It is more like charcoal but won't wash off the board unless you rub it off.ROBERT A : THE PENCIL IS SOME TYPE OF PLASTIC IT DOES OKGENADY F : No wood at all. It is a thick graphite rod inside a sturdy plastic tube.GERALD C : Wood pencil
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?USHA H : For my class.JAY N : I use this to carry during all of my dives as a communication deviceWILLIAM Y : Very handy slate, best one yet. I am up to 4 slates.
