I got it as a "just in case," if the strap on my kinfe breaks, I have a spare. So far, I haven't had to use it, so I can't answer about it slipping out. My knife sheath has a spring-loaded catch behind the buckle, so I expect it will just bear down and grip the rubber. In the photo, it LOOKS like the catch is designed to "twist" the rubber enough to lock it in place.Brett H : There is a rubber nub that keeps the strap from sliding through the non adjustable end of the buckle. The strap is 3/4" wide.

Ridiculous

These straps were included on a Wenoka knife and have perpetually come undone. I've lost my knife multiple times before losing it altogether thanks to these incredibly shoddy straps. The clips and the rubber are fine, but the rubber band just loops through the buckle, meaning there is absolutely nothing to stop it from becoming undone. Whoever designed this didn't think this through.
