Shopper : http://amatec.no/no/produkter/garn-og-not/c-ringer/587.html  what weight can be made? 3 and 5 kg?Mario C : Works with Shot Pouched or Block Lead about 6lbs per pocket
Shopper : What are the actual dimensions of a 6 pocket neoprene belt and each pocket.?KEVIN F : Overall length is 48" The pocket section is 30" Each pocket is 4 1/2" wide The height is variable depending on where you attach the velcro. 3 3/4" to 4"
Peter R : Does the neoprene weight belt come with weights?DAVID H : No, it does not come with weights..BRANDON G : NO, at least the one I bought did not, but it's a good weight belt, easy to use.COLLEEN T : No the neoprene belt does not come with weights. There are pockets with velcro closures that you add your own weights into.GWEN G : No. It is just a weight belt. Very comfortable, though!NICOLE G : No it doesn'tSTANLEY W : NoHEATHER G : No.
Lynda O : what is the total weight, and the weight for each pocket?Charles J : 5 lb max in any pocket in my opinion. Standard size weights fit fine. I get the 5 pocket version and balance the weight two on each side and leave the back pocket free for minor weight trimming. Once I have the proper weight I try to leave that back pocket free.Steve S : The weight of the belt is about a pound, but being made of neoprene it is positively buoyant. 4-5 pounds per pocket works well.GUY M : 4 pound hard weight or soft.WILLIAM H : I have 6 pockets ...4 lbs/pocket is no problrm..I freedive with 18lbs normally...
Shopper : how do you know what size to get and what are the sizes. i do not understand the number of pockets as being used for the size.? It is for my teenage daughter. janeCharles J : The 5 pocket neoprene velcro belt is 44 inches end to end on the fabric belt part. The pockets are 26 inches total but you have to allow for 3 inches extra for the buckle in addition to that. I would recommend no more that a 40 inch waist with wetsuit on and no less than 30inch waist.FRANK E : The number of pockets determines how many weight pouches it can hold. If your daughter is small and takes less than 15 pounds of weight to dive she can get by with a four pocket belt. (That might hold up to 20 lbs of weights maximum 5 lbs per pocket) You also have to look at waist size to see it will go small enough for her with a wetsuit on. If you were a big person you might need up to 20 plus pounds to dive if you wore a 7 mil wetsuit and thus would need a five or six pocket belt.JUNE H : Please measure your daughters waist. 4-Pocket Belt fits Waist sizes from 23" to 31" (58 4 to 78 7 cm), 5-Pocket Belt fits Waist sizes from 29" to 38" (73 7 to 96 5 cm), 6-Pocket Belt fits Waist sizes 34" to 43" (86 4 to 109 2 cm) and the 7-Pocket Belt fits Waist sizes 39" to 48" (99 to 122 cm).SCOTT B : I am an adult, L. I believe that model comes in one size only. It has seven pockets each of which can take up to two 2 lb weights. If your daughter is very slim, this may not be able to fit her since the buckle can only be tightened to the first pocket on each end. As a result, you might have to look for a child's size if available. If she wears an "M" or larger I think it will fit. Good luckMORRIS V : We purchased the 4 pocket belt for our teenage daughter who is 5'7 at 100lbs. She uses 2x3lbs weights for fresh water and 3x3lbs weights for salt water. Hope this helps.

Non-Integrated weight great option

Great, comfortable option for using non-integrated weights. Much better than a nylon web belt!

aqua neoprene weight belt

This product is a joke. I am an average size male with a 34 inch waist. The belt is so over sized that I can't possibly fit anybody. It is totally useless.

Weight belt isn't continuos

The last soft belt I was replacing had a continuous belt stitched all the way through the belt. This one doesn't. The fabric is so stretchy it's hard to get the belt on w/o twisting & if you're lucky enough to get in the water w/ it, it will need to be tightened immediately.

Poor design.

Pockets are small and belt is only on ends, not continuous. If stitching let's go the belt will fall off

Good quality, Works Well, Recommended.

Seems well made and has worked well the few times I've used it so far. I think it's a good value. I wasn't sure the velcro flaps would hold with a full load, but I've used it with 21lbs (3 5lbs, and 2 3lbs) and it held up perfectly. I was a little leery of the plastic buckle, but its heavy duty, and didn't let go while I was wearing it. Nonetheless, I would feel better if it was SS.

Twist

I ordered this belt because my old one needed to be retired after 25 years of use. I thought this belt would be perfect . I found once the weights were place in the pockets the belt would twist when I would be putting it on . I almost always had to get someone to assist . I have been diving for 38 years & did not like this belt at all !. This was used with lead weights & warm water diving.

Not good for heavy lifting!

This fit prior to adding weights in the pockets. After not so much. I needed to add more weight than this could handle. The neoprene stretched everything out of shape because its basically one piece of material with hems sewn in vertically. Notice the pockets are inside the strap/belt with flaps outside the strap/belt. The more weight you add to the pocket the smaller inner diameter or area for you to fit in. I had 3" inches to spare prior to adding weight but couldn't reach the buckle after adding weight.

no good for 20lbs or more

belt sags and spins with either soft or hard weights. this causes buckle to move to side making release difficult.

Excellent service/price. The Aqua is very soft and comfortable

Brought the Aqua weight belt for my wife in the hot tub to prevent her from floating. She finds it very comfortable and easy to use.

belt needs to be longer

I needed 18 lb of weight and it was a struggle to get the belt to latch. I had to take some of my weight and put in my BC.

My 2nd one of these

I ordered a new one of these because my first one was many years old and pretty beat up. I like them because they are much softer on my hips and very easy for switching weights. What you want to do, though, is to keep other people from dropping their weights on top of yours in the weight bucket. But in spite of that mine still lasted many years and over 100 dives. I recommend the 5 pocket one and I have a 33 inch waist.

good belt but not perfect

this was my first weight belt when i began diving 4 years ago. it is a decent belt and it gets the job done. the only complaints i have about it is that i wish that it had come with a metal buckle (i reaplaced the plastic one). and also the belt has a tendancy to spin and slides around your waist when wearing a wetsuit or some other low friction materal. makeing it close to impossible to ditch at times. this was the primary reason i replaced it after a while.

Weighty choices

Product limits placement of weights in specifically located pockets. As long as the locations are good for you, then it's a very functional product. Otherwise, weight may not be exactly where you want it.

Most Comfortable Belt!

This neoprene velcro pocketed weight belt combined with soft shot weights placed in the pockets provides the most comfortable weight belt system on the market. I won't use any other type of weight belt.

Good drag, fit, and appearance

Bought for my daughter at request of her synchro swimming coach. Using two aqua lead weights. It seems to be performing well -- gives lots of drag and weight for strengthening, which was the goal!

I am a public safety diver and dive in some of the worst water in Maryland. The belt works but the buckle need improving. Overall its a good belt so far. Once i get another 20or more dives on it i'll know for sure though.

I've bought two belts

Placed nessesary weights into pockets. Close the pockets. Attached to waist with belt clip The weight belt simplifies the adding or removal of weights in or out of the water. Other belts restrict weight placement or removal by having to thread the weights on to the belt.

ok for lighter weight

Not built for excessive weight. The nylon strap does not encircle the entire waist, there's just a length of nylon attached on each side of the neoprene. So if you need a lot of weight (~30lbs), the belt stretches quite a bit, requiring multiple adjustments as it begins to sag.
