Shopper : One of the reviews said the magnets corroded and that new version comes with a clip, is that true?Mario C : many variations over the same magnetic coil lanyard. First one has the brass clip. I have no information on rust rating for this product, we sell a lot of them.
Robert F : What is the connector-to-connector length when the magnets are coupled and when they are not and the coiled cable is fully extended?JASON T : When connected it will hang about 6-8 inches from the BCD ring. Fully extended it will reach arms length without strain. I attach my go pro to it, my light, anything I want and then tuck it slightly inside my shoulder strap til I'm ready to use. Mine has seen 50+ dives and still works fine. Hope this helps.

A good lanyard that is convenient but salt water dissolves magnets

This is an overall been a great lanyard. I use mine weekly. No issues with the clip or the coil, however, the magnets have been corroding so the second one that I bought has the plastic clasp. It is convenient however because you don't have to fool with reattaching it because the magnets will find themselves if you let it retract back together.

Great product, everyone should have one

Great for tethering lights, camera, lobster gauge and just about anything else you don't want to lose to you BCD. Easiest and best lanyard I have found for re-attaching any of the items listed above during a dive. No more fumbling with buckles you can't manipulate properly with a gloved hand. Only one catch, don't use it to connect your compass/console to your BCD - it's magnetic.

Strong Magnet

I use mine for my camera and video camera. I have one end attached to a D-ring on my chest. When you don't feel like holding the camera the magnet keeps it tight to my chest; when I'm shooting the magnets come appart easily and I can stretch my arms all the way out.

I use mine for my camera and video camera. I have one end attached to a D-ring on my chest. When you don't feel like holding the camera the magnet keeps it tight to my chest; when I'm shooting the magnets come appart easily and I can stretch my arms all the way out.
