I'm not that impressed with these. they don't really fit tight enough where it matters to provide good rigidity to the hose at the swage. Plus, they are pretty hard to get on without a tool. I tried hot water, which helped, but could not get them over the larger hex on my reg hose. I do like the idea of how they are slotted to allow flushing out with fresh water and not trapping water under the sleeve, but the other shortcomings doesn't make up for that IMHO. I'll probably have to have the dive shop change out all my hose protectors with the thicker units.

too tight to place on LP hose, even with soap and hot water tricks.

Could not get this on my low pressure hoses (tried 2 different ones). Tried soaking in boiling water and while it was easier to pull then, it cooled by the time half of it was on, could not go any further, and it was a nightmare to get off. Really hoping the hoses themselves aren't damaged. Am doubtful it will even slide on the hose after a proper installation because it is so tight - different than my other hose protectors. I will go back to my aqualung hose protectors which slide easily on a hose for installation and easy hose inspection.

I had to use some zip ties to keep this from slipping down the hose. Hard plastic. Feels incredibly cheap.

I wish i could give zero stars. I'm a divemaster and equipment specialist for more than 30 years. I can't recall when i've been this frustrated with a piece of equipment. A stupid hose protector at that. Yes I know the tricks, heat, lubricants, etc. Save yourself the hassles and buy a different product.

Cheap construction, these things are really quite useless.

I knew these fit tight when I bought them and followed the directions to loosen them up with hot water. However, even after that, and I did get them on,it was more trouble than it was worth. Perhaps my hoses are too big but they are standard hoses as far as I know. I would look for something else.

These hose protectors work really well on LP hoses but they would not fit over the ends of my HP hoses even after soaking in hot water to make them more flexible.

This is a great product for the price. I bought it because of the drainage it has after use and cleaning. It also stay put. I would recommend that you heat it up in hottt water and use a little silicone grease to help the install.

All around, a good quality product. Yes.....they are somewhat hard to get on. Immersion in to a HOT glass of water and some stretching of the narrow end will help tremendously.

Nice colored markings to know it's you in the water or your regs on the beach.

Just what I needed. The last ones lasted 12 years. Just a tiny !!!! bit of pure silicone lube made the installation a snap.

I'm really surprised how nice these are for this price. As others have pointed out, you'll need to heat them up with hot water...but they stay in place and look better than most of the supposedly higher quality protectors.

Good way to protect your hoses and identify your tanks on a crowded boat also ID your dive buddy in the water. Use hot water for application and stretch it a little with your pinky finger to get it over the nut.

The only problem I encountered was getting these was getting them on (it may be just me). That was solved by warming the hose protectors in a water bath on the stove.

Once again I am greatly satisfied with Leisure Pro. I have placed several orders with them and have never been disappointed. They are the lowest cost around and their shipping is super fast. I would highly recommend them to all my friends.

I don't know what people don't like about these, they look good and serve their function. I use these on all of my hoses on all my reg set ups. I've never had a problem with them.

Good price and easy to install.
Hose protectors keep your hose rubber jacket from pulling loose from the crimped metal fitting. Once the hose jacket has separated and exposes the breaded hose inner liner you will start to have a hose leaks. Hose protectors that are not vented or do not have a ribbed interior surface retain water and promote corrosion of hose fittings and hose rot. Protect your hose from these problems with this vented hose protector. Use one on every hose attached to your first-stage regulator to prolong the life of all your life support fittings. Hose Protector is available in multiple colors and made from durable vinyl. The Hose Protector is vented for easy water drainage and rapped drying.
