Questions & Answers

Shopper : Is a HP port plug the same as a LP port plug?MICHAEL A : No, the ports are different diameters to prevent accidentally crossing. If the low pressure hose was screwed into the high pressure port, it would burst. Therefore, the plugs are different diameters even though the hex hole may be the same size.LUCY C : Nope - Different diametersEDWARD D : No. High pressure ports are 7/16", low pressure ports are 3/8". You will need to buy the correct plug diameter.GEORGE W : Typically, low pressure (LP) ports are of a different size than high pressure (HP) ports. These are are sizes found on most modern first stages: standard low pressure port, 3/8"; oversize low pressure port (rarely seen), 1/2"; standard high pressure port, 7/16". Hope this helps!JEFFREY H : From my expierence they are different, you will see what fits easily due to the threading on the unit.....MIYUKI S : The current standard LP ports are 3/8" and HP are 7/16". They are not interchangeable. Some current regulators have high flow LP ports that are larger than standard. And some older regulators have different sizes as well.ROB Y : No, they are two different sizes. The Hp plugs are larger than the lp plugs. The sizes are standard though. One Hp plug will fit any Hp hole in a reg and any lp plug will fit any lp hole in a reg. Hp holes are for your SPg. Lp holes are for second stage regs and lp inflaters.MARK A : No they are not. 3/8x24 thead is the standard size for LP ports. 7/17x24 is the current HP port size However, in some cases of older (10+ Years) Regulators, they are the same. Anything current will be slightly different. This also means HP and LP Hoses have different threading sizes as well.

A necessary item

This is a simple and easy HP ports, that every diver should have in your spares box, this is a good replacement for your lost port, do not hold your controller without the ports placed, you do not know who can enter such an important piece of diving and spend unnecessary money on emergency service
