Shopper : is this product all talk? any cornstarch or fragrance?FREDERICK K : No fragrances, no cornstarch from what I can tell. It appears to be all plain talc. I have used it twice now and have noticed that it is better than the cornstarch that I had been using. A little goes a long way. I still believe it's a bit expensive but it's a convenient container size and the powder is as plain as you can get.ANDREW L : Dont bother. Get McNett's Seal Savr. I got over 600 dives in Puget Sound...my dry suit seals are 3 yrs old and are virtually brand new. Dont dry your rubber, treat it with liquid rubber...fills in the micro cracks. Do it :)DENNIS H : It is super smooth and work very well. As far as price compared to performance it's all opinion. Are you the type to spit on your goggles or buy a good defogger?

Pretty simple stuff ; hard to go wrong but a bit on the expensive side, especially as Scubaboard members reports sources of talc that are free.

I use it all the time to keep the seal on my drysuit smooth.

Back in the 50's and early 60's we dove with nylon no wet suits. The only way you could put one on was with talcum powder. We now have nylon lined, plush lined wet suits and dry suits which are supposed to eliminate the need for powder! Right! We still find it tough to put on even a thin 3mm suit on a rolling deck or on hot beach sand. Talcum Powder can still make any suit go on easier. Pour some down your suit legs and see how your legs glide through the suit when you put it on. Don't forget the arms! This powder is unscented talc to ease donning the dry-suit and for standard storage of the seals between dives. Using powder not only makes donning your suit easier it will protect the suit from extreme stress from over stretching. Talcum Powder comes in a convenient 8 oz. (227 g) container.
