Shopper : What sound does the acou-stick make?GREGORY K : We call it a "clacker." The harder you shake it, the louder it clacks, like a ball bearing in a heavy plastic tube (?). It cannot compete with an air horn as an attention getter, but if your buddy pays attention and isn't too far away, it works fine.SEAN N : It makes a clunking noise. I think it is a slug of metal that slides back and forth. Very distinct noise under water. I have it on every dive.SYDNEY Y : TOck, tock, tock, tock. I love it! not so bad

Napoleon fish really like it!! Specially this white looks like eggs tips. :) I fasten it to my bcd, and it become entangled everytime you dont wear it. It's really too big. You can listen it about 10 meters far away.

Good but large

ok i admit that this noiser is better than other with the noise range range, however the size of it is just too large and it could be annoying while diving on the other hand the weight is too heavy compared to others. right now im using Mares noise maker its very thin , small size and does good noise and it can bring everyone attentions.

UnderWater attention getter...

Great for getting someone's attention while underwater... Very similar to the "homemade" ones that I've seen, however, this particular one is much larger than I expected... Which makes it someone heavy and slightly ackward...

Just so-so

Bought this for my daughter, but it is so cumbersome that it gets in her way when hanging on her BC, and is too large to comfortably fit in a pocket.

Acou-stick - not worth it !

This was a complete waste of my money! If it wasn't so much trouble sending it back I would have but I didn't have the time nor inclination to bother. I took it out once, shook it right next to my husband's head and he coudl barely hear it. It would never attract his attention if I ever needed him in an emergency!
