It just does not work.

I would recommend rinsing your gear with a small amount of vinager in the water and then brushing the salt after a while. The instructions of the product are very unclear.

BUY IT...A MUST HAVE

Six months after my last dive I pulled my regulator out and noticed some salt corrosion. I was devastated as it was a new regulator and only had two dives on it. I purchased the Salt-Away hoping that it would remove the corrosion that had formed, as well as assisted me in preventing any future corrosion. I sprayed a spritz or two on each area I say corrosion, let it sit thirty seconds and then rinsed. To my astonishment (and relief) my regulator looked like the day I purchased it. This is a must for all divers, no matter what level you are!!!

This product is a must have if you care about your equipment. My wife and I are both Dive masters and use this on all our equipment. We are still diving with our original regulators and when we have them serviced, they are always amazed at how good of shape they are in for their age. This product prevents the erosion from salt. We use it on everything , even our dive bags.
