STEVE E : Is this good for tropical waters during night time diving?darrick c : Hello Steve, yes you could wear this in warm water on a night dive.STEVEN P : Well what time of day is not a concideration. Temp of water is. Know what your getting into first. I remember when I dove a lot we droped a temp device before gearing up. Thats the time to pick the suit and vest if needed. With this suit, anything below 77 deg is pushing it for me. Last testing was on Qct. 25th in Tampa bay. Air temp 82deg. Arms and legs were pretty cold at 73 deg water temp. Torso was a little chilly. Remember only 3/2mm suit. Im getting a full 5mm for colder temps below 77deg. Old stuff don't fit anymore. This Aquablue suit fits the majority of my temp range. In my review its all about the fit. This one fits great. Im in Florida and used to much warmer air and sea temps. You always end up with more than one suit if you get into this sport for real. Comfort is critical. Its miserable being cold on a dive.

If you are doing this in the winter I would go with a 5mm or 7mm thickness for suit.

SBS Zipper is terrible.

Worst back zipper out there. Not YKK as advertised, but rather a SBS Brand Must stand for Serious Bull Sh!t, because it jumped off the tracks on the first use.

Good for broad frame

I like this suit. I am under avg height and broad. Most suits i looked at didnt look like theyd fit over my leg let alone my body! It seems I am not a typical surfer physique?. This one was actually really good for my shape. Not too long in leg or arm given the chest size. Be aware- i dont use this often and this is the only suit I ever bought but thought people might benefit from the size feedback

A good suit at a good price.

I teach adult aquatics and am in the water for up to three hours. The Aqua Blue suit, with its snug fit, help keep me relatively warm. My only complaint is the tall sizes are not available so I make due with a too short suit. Small complaint about a good, economically affordable suit.

Good base layer or mid-temp dive protection

I am 6"4" and 257#. With a shorter inseam of 32, I choose the XXL and it fits great. The legs are about an inch too long, but with it allows me to bunch just a little at the knee. I use it for some lake diving and planning a depth greater than 40ft, don a 7mm shorty over it. PERFECT. I bought it originally to have as beach wear on the Oregon coast. While people were huddled up in their cars watching life go by, my daughter and I were having a blast in the surf. Go Cold or Go Home is our motto.

Shorter Builds XL true to size.

Ok, Im 5ft 7in 186 lbs with 45 in chest 37 waist. Very hard to get a wetsuit to fit this old stocky body. If they dont list a short model all are made for 6ft 1in++. Puts all kinds of extra material at crotch, butt and waist. Most to tight at chest. Finaly this maker Aquablue is manufacturing wet suits that fit the shorter build. I understood from customer service during my pre purchase call for being true to size, that the parent Co. Is connected to Aqualung. That was good enough for me. I purchsed the XL that lists my height, weight, close to chest and waist right out the gate. Little snug at chest not a concern and will relax when in the water. I have rash gaurds that fit tighter. Full length rash gaurds will make it easy to get on and off and add little warmth. Fits my butt like its suposed to along with little extra at belly. My weight belt will compress that. No big gaps at crotch. The rest of fit great. Very Stretchy Neoprene like some of the high dollar makers. I don't plan on using in temps below 68 deg. Snorkeling and shallow free dives are my needs. The only real down side is no zippers at ankle or wrist. It doesn't have fancy colors either. Thats why its such a great price. Fit and comfort is more important than style at the end of the day. Scuba have the best return process out there if it dosent work out. Years of searching for good fit and good price. This is the one.

Good Value

I like it. The slightly lighter weight is nice (I dive in generally tropical waters and not far beyond 20 meters depth). It seemed to pinch a little under the arms when I first tried it on dry, but it was fine when I used it in the water. Looking forward to my next dives this weekend ??

Aqua Blue wetsuit review

As an aquatics teacher in a heavily chlorine environment, I go through at least two or three suits a year. For warmer water, the Aqua Blue wetsuit has out performed nearly every other brand I have used for comfort, fit, ease of getting on and off and good price. I'm on my third one now.
