I had finally found a prefect regulator for cold water

i have used, and owned, an awful lot of regulators since i started diving in 1972. this regulator tops the bunch. the breathing effort is wonderful fully adjustable, and the venturi makes a lot of difference. the combination of this regulator with the apeks xtx50 octo yellow alternate is a no brainer. a definite would recommend to a friend, and if ever needed i would buy this regulator again.
The Apeks XTX 200 regulator, second only to the XTX Tungsten, boasts a perfect blend of style and high performance. Every detail has been meticulously designed to provide a top-quality regulator. It features an innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system, allowing divers to switch between a small and large exhaust tee.
Incorporating active protection against infection, the regulator additive combats MRSA, E-Coli, bacteria, fungi, viruses, mold, yeast, and algae. The XTX 200 can be converted from a right-handed to a left-handed hose configuration, though this should only be done by an Apeks Authorized Service Technician.
The regulator comes standard with braided flexi-hoses, offering lighter weight, increased flexibility, and durability. It's suitable for cold water use below 50 Degree F (10 Degree C) and is compatible with EAN40 out of the box.
At the core of the XTX 200 is an over-balanced diaphragm design in the first stage, delivering superior breathing performance regardless of depth. The unique Environmental Dry Sealing System prevents ice build-up on the main spring during cold water dives and protects against contaminants entering the spring chamber.
The second stage features a pneumatically balanced valve system for improved ease of breathing in all diving conditions. The XTX range can be dedicated to either left or right-handed use, offering greater flexibility in kit configuration.
The Reversible Venturi System (RVS) allows precise venturi assist control, while the Diver Changeable Exhaust System lets users choose between a compact, lightweight exhaust or a wider one to avoid bubble interference. The regulator comes standard with the Comfo-Bite mouthpiece to minimize jaw fatigue, weighs 44.87 oz (1272g), and includes an owner's manual.
