I have had two pair of teck shorts. The Scuba Pro short with draw string and these ones. I love having pockets and these shorts are robust and well built with stainless steel D-rings built into the pockets to clip whatever you are carrying in your pockets. I carry spare mask, snorkel and GoPro when recreational diving. And spare mask when Cave diving. The buckle i really like compared to a draw string on the scuba pro shorts as it helps keep them up and sinched tight. They are heavy with rubber reinforced places and i expect they will wear well compared to my scuba pro shorts. If you are not sure what size to get because you are right on the edge of one of the sizing chart i would go one size larger that what the chart says. Only reason i am giving this a 4 star and not a 5 is the price is high.

I really like these shorts. Two stainless steel D-rings inside each pocket and a smaller pocket inside the main pocket make it easy to keep gear separated. Be careful on the sizing. I have a 32" waist and almost bought a medium until I read the sizing guide. I got the small and they fit me properly over a 3 mil wetsuit.

These seem to be more like scuba diving shorts than skydive. Way too heavy and hot to wear in the sun.

Fit was nice. The shorts are heavy duty. I would not wear a lot under them as they do fit like a wet suit

When you have a sidemount configuration, and diving TECH, there is not an abundance of pockets. This tech shorts allows you to dream big, and carry long - all your gear. I am a fan of this because in my needs to learn TECH diving in cold waters, this shorts did the job. Big pockets. Easy to work with cold water gloves.

As an Instructor and a Tech diver these are very valuable shorts. The fit is amazing and there are plenty of places to clip things so that you don’t drop your gear.

Expensive, yet necessary for TECH divers

The APEKS Tech Shorts can be worn over a dry suit or a wet suit to create additional pocket space, or can be worn alone for use in warm water or for other aquatic activities. Ideal for warm water diving conditions where the additional storage of slates, spools or torches is required while wearing a wet suit. The protective rubber prints on the back reduces friction damage while increasing grip and would be very useful outside of the dive environment, for example on a jet ski or RIB. Shorts are made from 1.5mm neoprene with small diamond lining outside, and nylon inside. Easy adjustable waist band with 2 hook and loop flaps and adjustable strap with a quick release buckle. Big cargo pockets with expandable system, made in fabric to prevent the distortion of the shape. 4 large grommets on each pocket for fast drainage. Two large stainless-steel D-ring in each pocket to secure accessories. Protective rubber prints on the back reduces friction damage while increasing grip, useful if used on a jet ski or RIB. Taped sewing on back and inside legs to prevent broken threads. Shorts are available in multiple unisex sizes and are black in color.
