Questions & Answers

michael L : Im 5 6” 180 44 chest what size would you recomend?Gary P : I’m 6’2” 195 lb and take a 44 suit size and use a 4/3 wet suit. I bought a large size and it works for me.RICHARD B : I'm 5'8" 175 with a 42 chest and a Med fits just fine. If you are concerned about being between sizes, I would suggest if possible trying one on before ordering.TOM G : probable a large, I got xl and I am a 48" chest sizeLorenzo V : I’m 5 10” and got a medium size. I’ll say small.ASHER B : I'm 5' 9'' 200 44 chest. Just dove Kaui with my rig and have a Large. Fits like a glove.JAMES F : I'm 5'8" and 42 chest and medium is perfect
JAMES S : what is the weight pouch buckle size for the knighthawk? I need a replacement pouch. Thanks.ROLLIN E : I measured the sizes on my Knighthawk. The Strap/webbing to which the buckle attaches is two inches wide. The widest part of the male part is 2 1/4 inches, the widest part of the female is 2 3/8 inches. I assume the two inch wide strap sets the buckle size, but I really don't know. The buckle has a Scuba Pro emblem on it. I assume that these buckles are off the shelf items, and there are standard sizes, so this would be a two inch Scuba Pro buckle. I have a XXL Knighthawk, I don't know it different size BC's have different size pockets. I have a Scuba Pro Classic Plus BC (in XXL) and its weight pouch is interchangeable with the Knighthawks weight pouch, so Scuba Pro might have a standard weight pouch size.JEFF M : Hi, I'm using normal belt for weights as I'm more used on that. Anyway, I'm not home for nex 3 weeks so I can't check. If YOu still need some info, You can send me e-mail 15-20. October Regards, JereDOMINIC B : 2 Inch.
JEFFREY C : I'm 6'3 and weigh 245 42 waist 44 chest what size do I need?FRANK W : My son has a nighthawk he loves it get a largeCRAIG M : I would think that you would need a large. The best would to try one on. The Knighthawk BC are a great! Good luck on your selection.RICHARD K : Hi Jeff, You seem to be right on the cusp of their size transition XL to XXL. But my experience with this BC is that it runs a bit larger than sized. So I would think an XL would work for you. Of course, that also depends upon how much your weight fluctuates (if at all). I think the XL would fit you comfortably at your current weight. If you are anywhere near a dive shop that carries Scubapro you might want to step in and slip one on for size. I hope this helps! Cheers, RichDEAN K : I'm 6.3 with 205 lb and large size is short for me. Wish I went with large tall. You try with XLLUIS C : XlROBERT A : I would go with an XL.JONATHAN M : Hi there Im 6'3" and about 230 pounds. Im using an size XL. Fits fine. Great bcd by the way.MICHAEL B : Best is to go try one one on I'm going to say 2x I wear. L I'm 44 chest 5"7
Shopper : I have a mares tight fitting jacket bc. The nighthawk concerns me that the area to the rear of where integrated wieghts go sticks out like wing and will produce drag?.Steve S : That will not happen. This BC will curve around your sides and be nice and fitted.RANDY C : I have not noticed any problem with drag. CRAIG J : Underwater the Nighhawk is fantastic. I never experience any drag while swimming. The BC fits me well and its almost like I forget I have it on. The only concern I have with my BC is that when I'm floating on the surface waiting to be picked up by the boat, the BC wants to float you in a face down position. This makes it a more difficult to float comfortably on the surface for a long period of time. Other that that one issue, the BC is well made and functions well underwater. Hope this answers your question.GORDON V : They do not produce any drag.LORI S : Nope hugs the contour of the body.
Shopper : Am looking for something to fit a 56 inch chest ! Will this fit or can you advice me on what mite ? Thank youROLLIN E : My chest measurement is about 52-53 inches (from a life foolishly spent lifting weights). I have a xxl Knighthawk, and it has about 6 inches of strap left when I have it tightened. Again, I have a fairly mutated body, so the waist strap had to be taken in to fit me. I would suggest a xxl. Given Leisure Pros real easy return policy its no big deal to order a couple of sizes and see how it fits.Steve S : This should fit in a XXL size.CRAIG M : It should fit, this BCD has several straps the can be adjusted to fit a variety of sizes. So long as you get the BCD close to you sizes. I like this BCD it got the D-rings to clap lines etc. to and a couple of pockets that are close on the bottom of the BCD with being in the way. I would recommend the use of an Air-2 with this BCD. Not messing around with an octopus or back up regular keeps you nice and neat. It also dry fairly quickly. Good Luck...DEAN K : Probably not. I'm 200LB and I wish I order longer oneTOM S : If possible go to your local dive shop that carries ScubaPro and try one on That's what i did. You don't have to buy there just window shop and then find the best deal you can for what you want.

About Scuba Pro Knighthawk BCD Black

Designed for male divers, the Knighthawk BCD boasts of having a low profile, backpack-style harness system, integrated weight system, and back-mounted buoyancy. A robust and comfortable back flotation jacket that integrates numerous performance features to deliver outstanding comfort and easy handling. The Knighthawk's retractable air bladder offers ultimate streamlining and significantly reduces drag. The Knighthawk is equipped with Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator, has two rollup zippered pockets, Four Stainless Steel D-rings for attachment of accessories, a sturdy Stainless Steel Tank Attachment System, and a comfortable neck roll of soft neoprene with a special foam back pad, making it the BCD of choice.

Back flotation technology positions air bladder in the back, providing exceptional freedom of movement around chest and shoulders. Streamlined air cell technology and automatic volume control of air cell through compression straps provide a low profile throughout the dive. Rotating Quick Release shoulder buckles and adjustable shoulder straps, adjustable sternum strap and waist strap with cummerbund all improve fit. All these straps are equipped with squeeze-style" quick release buckles for easy donning and doffing.

Soft neoprene neck roll and padded back pad provide skin-friendly padding. Firmly padded, flexible cummerbund compensates for changes in the suit resulting from varying depths. Ergonomic harness incorporates anatomically-shaped components to allow for even load distribution. Quick-release integrated weight system offers more comfort and convenience. Pouches accommodate from 10lb to 12lb (4.5kg to 5.5kg) each (depending on size) and are secured in specially-designed pockets with oversized buckles. Two rear trim pockets counterbalance front weights and provide a well-balanced swimming position with 10lbs (4.5kg) capacity. Built-to-last from 1000-denier nylon outer bladder and 420-denier nylon inner, with urethane laminate interior and radio frequency (RF) welded seams for maximum resistance to punctures and abrasion.

For proper buoyancy control the Knighthawk BCD comes standard with Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator and has a 3-dump deflation system that enables divers to dump air from a variety of underwater positions. In the up-right position you can use either the left-or-right shoulder pull-dumps with the right shoulder pull cord or the left shoulder integrated cable activated power inflator shoulder dump. When inverted in the water the lower left rear pull dump can facilitate buoyancy trim. Scubapro's Balanced Power Inflator provides a high inflation speed, especially at depth. Inflator has different shaped inflation and purge buttons for easy use even in extremely low light or murky water conditions. The BCD provides 33.7lbs to 44.9lbs (15.3kg to 20.4kg) of lift depending on the sizes, The Knighthawk weighs from 8.4lbs to 9.24lbs (3.81kg to 4.19kg) which is also size dependent. BCD comes with a 3/8" threaded low pressure quick-disconnect hose, owner's manual and is black in color.
