ERIKA L : I wear an 8 in women's.  Usually my fin size is small. Would regular fit well with booties?CARLYN T : I also wear an 8. I wear tropical weight or light weight boots and the regular is fine for me.CHRISTINE C : Hi Erika. You can always exchange if you feel they are too small.CARLYN T : I wear booties from tropical weight when I'm diving warm waters here in FL to my 7m boots when diving in 40 deg quarry water in PA. Obviously with the heavy boot they are a bit snugger but I've had no real problem with any of my boots whatever the weight.
Andrea M : Would these be a good replacement to the sling shots?ALLEN B : I have not used sling shots but I can tell you that they power me through the water and currents with relative ease. The big thing is I do not get the cramps that I got with the aqua lung fins I was using before. Happy diving!DANIEL L : One can never have to many fins. Sure it's a nice replacement.travis s : I used mine as a replacement for slingshots. After 6 months, the X Shots started to get flimsy and kicking into currents became bothersome. They were fine at first, but wore out quickly. I have since switched to Mares Avanti Quattros and love them.
LISA P : Are the Aqualung X Shot adjustable? I like the idea of a spring back, but I am worried that they may not fit snuggly. Is this an issue with spring backed fins?Colton D : I could not find away to adjust them. I bought two straps and switched out the spring to normal straps. They work great ever since.MARY D : They are not adjustable. Depending on how your foot fits in the pocket the straps could remain slightly loose, all though there have been no problems with the straps slipping off. The hardness of the strap back may make this fin difficult to wear with some boots depending on where the heel sits. If you can get them to fit, the performance is terrific.ARIC L : the springs are not adjustable. The fit fine, not too tight, not too loose. I would assume they are sized appropriately based upon the shoe size that the fin is designed for.ALLEN B : I enjoy mine a lot my legs don't get as tired as with my old stuff fins. As for the adjustable springs I don't have a problem but I have a size 14 foot. I went to springs and had the same concern. I found that those too come in different sizes. I would by the fins and change our the springs if needed. Happy Diving!CARLYN T : They can't be adjusted manually but the spring feature is an inherent adjustment. One time I bought the spring straps for my old fins but they were the wrong size and too big. I couldn't make them work. These fins, purchased in the right size, have been no problem. I love them. Have been using them for about a year with no issues. I have 700ish dives so I've been around the dive block a couple of times, and I'm very happy with them.Joel L : Nope, not adjustable. But if you choose the appropriate size they should be fine (with booties).ROBERT L F : The Aqualong X Shot spring back is not adjustable. However, if you get the appropriately sized fin for your foot, the spring back should secure it sufficiently. It takes very little tension to make the properly fit fin fit snuggly. I have friend who dives open heel fins with no strap at all.Rick O : The back spring is not adjustable.SHARON C : The spring straps are very secure once you pull them out and over your boots. They are so much easier and faster than the adjustable straps. As long as you order the correct size fins, you will be good to go. My husband and I both have these fins and we love them!

Great for boat diving trips.

Easy to get on and off, especially in the water after a boat dive. Very comfortable, stays on the entire dive with no problems. The spring heel strap is great and works well with booties.

You cant go wrong with Aqualung X Shot

I tried Mares Avante, and TUSATUSA SF-0107 HYFLEX SWITCH PRO SCUBA DIVING FINS. Tusa Switch are powerful but stiff. Can be hard on your knees. Mares Avante are ok, but in strong current could fall short. I love these Aqualund X Shot. Great power. Soft kick. You can do several strong current dives and not have any pain in feet and knees. X shot open heel fin

Theyâ??re heavy... and spendy. Looks like good quality so far. Used them 4 times diving out of Kona. I like them. Would not rave about them however. Theyâ??re just a good quality fin that Iâ??ve also found in other brands. Will post again in another 10 dives or so.

Very Disappointed

Only a few months after i purchased these fins cracks started forming on both sides in the mid section where the fins bend. This occurred on both fins. The cracks are growing larger. Make sure you keep a reciept handy. I tried contacting Aqualung customer support but they never reply. I would never purchase them again. Try Tusa.. they make nice fins.

Love the color choice ORANGE

I've never used fins before and I am not as graceful as the others in my NAUI dive class however, these are great fins and comfortable. I'm hoping they become a bit more flexible with more use. I had purchased quick release straps from my shop because I didn't know if I would like the springs but they work just fine and are easy to put on and take off. ????????????????

Secure fit

I have these in the regular size, paired with the Cressi Isla boots (size 10). The fit is phenominal. The spring straps are very secure as well. I can go on a dive and feel confident that these fins are not going to come loose and fall off... no more checking the fin strap every five minutes. Easy to put on and take off in the water. The craftsmanship seems great also. I personally love the flex of the fins and feel it gives great propulsion, but everyone's preference may be a little different.

Poor Sizing

Unfortunately I did not try them on with my new 3mm tropical dive shoes until after the 30 day inspection with free fin return period. Unfortunately it took more time for me to find the right pair of 3mm tropical shoes, and this was past 30 days from when I had received the fins. I had to pay for the return shipping which cost me $19.00. My suggestion to others is to buy from a local shop, where you can try on various models for fit. I have learned my lesson.

Love these fins

I love these fins, they out perform several of my other fins. They give maximum thrust with minimum effort. Less effort means more air and more bottom time :-)

excellent fins

great fins. had an old pair of fins that i retrofitted some spring release straps on. these were old and the springs were heavy. decided to upgrade and glad i did. these fins are a bit lighter in weight than my previous fins and included their own spring straps. my only complaint is that they fit just a tad too snug on one foot. i'm hoping with a little time and use they will stretch. still they are very comfortable and efficient underwater.

The X Shot Fins are an evolution in diving. The X Shot comes standard with the Aqua Lung Spring Straps for easy don and doffing.
