Questions & Answers

Shopper : Can you please tell me the outer diameter of the brass gauge in inches? I am looking to replace my old gauge in a Cochran Commander boot. Thanks,TROY W : 2 1/8”ZAK K : Unfortunately, the boot is a very snug fit and I while I'm sure I could get it all the way off, getting it back on may not be so easy. However, I can pull it back far enough to tell that it is 2" OD. This is measured with a wooden ruler, so keep in mind the accuracy. Scubapro being made in Italy, it is most likely an exact, metric measurement and not exactly 2".
Shopper : I already have this gauge I like it just fine however I need another gauge console to add a compass and the depth gauge can you help me do that?RICHARD S : Sure, check out the two and three gauge in line consoles under scuba gauges at leisurepro
JOHN T : What is overall diameter of this pressure gauge? Looking for 55mm to fit into existing console.B C : This is 55mm
Lee S : what is the face diameter of the face of spg scuba pro $124.00 ?JON H : This brass and glass gauge is 1.75 inches across the face and is very readable to 50 psi. This is one of the biggest gauges currently available (but smaller than their depth gauge). Historically, Scuba Pro made a pressure gauge even larger and the same size as their large depth gauge.RANDY S : with the rubber case on = 2.3" with rubber off, metal bezel = +/- 2.085"
Erik R : andrew, thanks for the reply. ill place the gauge together with my inflation hose which is 23 inches length, 34 inches is too long. do you have shorter hose? thanksYAN G : Yes, we do carry shorter hoses.

Does what it's supposed to

First i would have preferred to get the pressure and depth gauge combo but for some reason I could not find it in non-retard units :)) , meaning metric. Hence i went only with the single metric pressure gauge. After i bought this i managed to get around 70 dives before this review and all i can say is that it has performed to the best of its capabilities. The needle does not move around or such even at low pressure and as far as i was willing to test it, it's pretty accurate in regards to the tank content. I've done my best to avoid hitting and dragging it so it has held up well and the protective material does what it's supposed to.

Excellent gauge! Well made and easy to read!

I am a commercial diver and needed a pressure gauge for my bailout bottle. This gauge is the perfect choice for that purpose. It has a large white face which makes it very readable and it is in 100psi increments which means I can better tell if my bottle is loosing pressure through the daily task of pressuring my whip and etc etc. This gauge is heavier than you'd expect which is awesome. I def recommend this gauge.

Nice looking yet not accurate

I really wanted to like this. It has a nice design and all analog gauges make a nice backup to a misbehaving computer or bottom timer with a dead battery. The tank pressure gauge worked fine, but the full range was 6000 psi. Right off, I would lose half my resolution on my 3000 psi tank. Not a big issue. The depth gauge reads 0 to 200 feet, again making it difficult to resolve an accurate depth. Again, I would be using it only as a backup for my dive computer. Perhaps I received a defective console, but the temperature indicator was sticky and inaccurate. I understand that a mechanical temperature gauge inside a console is not going to be super responsive, it was also more than 10 degrees off making me wonder how far off the depth gauge was. I let it go. But, I didn't like the compass. As I reversed direction, the heading would lag between 5 and 10 degrees. If I shook the console, it would spin 30 degrees clockwise. The compass also has an opening in the bottom for a depth-activated light. I searched the planet and failed to find the light anywhere. Without it, the bottom of the console looks ugly and unfinished. I took out my vintage Dacor Diving console and checked out the compass behavior. It was dead on. At that point, I decided that his console was just too inaccurate to serve as a backup. It is pretty tho.
