Questions & Answers

Shopper : Does this compu monitor air pressure?JOE S : The Geo 4.0 does not monitor tank pressure. There is the Geo Air that does have the air integration. It functions the same, otherwise.Alexis A : No, it doesn’t not.
Richard L : Is the usb cable/interface the same as the GEO 2?JOE S : There is no interface cable for the Geo 4.0. It uses bluetooth for the transfer of data to the diver log app.DANIEL W : This doesn't answer your direct question however you can use the built in bluetooth to track and download your dives. Just download the diverlog+ app .. I've found that it's much easier and I can do it right after the dive while my memory is fresh while heading back to the dock.
ROBERT P : Does the geo 4 come with a battery compartment tool?JOE S : Yes it does.
Shopper : Is there a compass?DANIEL W : There is no compass. I have used this computer on about 30 dives now and would recommend it. Love the way you can preset your dive with the app and bluetooth all the dive logs afterwards.JOE S : There is no digital compass on this computer.HUGO C : No, there isn’t.
THOMAS L : This site says you need the interface cable (even though this has Bluetooth) to upgrade the firmware. The Oceanic website does not mention this. Can you please confirm?  Thanks.Mario C : Thank you Joe.JOE S : You do not need the interface cable. There is not one available for the Geo 4.0. All updates are done through bluetooth or on the computer itself.HUGO C : No you don’t need cable, you can do it from the app. Good watch...

Finally-the dive computer and sport watch I have been searching for for my wife!

Great dive computer and sport watch. Very easy numerals to read. Only issue is with the complicated instructions and access to the various screens. This issue may not be a problem for a generation that has grown up with computers and smart phones! I purchased the model in white.

Good Quality Dive Computer

This dive computer is a solid machine, well built and not too bulky. Good for the dive site as well as an everyday beater. Has multiple watch functions that you can utilize. The bluetooth function with the diverlog+ app is not the best from my experience (regarding downloading of dives). That section of the app would just crash when you tried to execute the download. I contacted the support team. I was sent a special link to download an update. That did solved the crashing issue, but it would only download some of my dives, not all. Maybe someone else may have a better experience technically speaking with the diverlog app. Besides that specific issue regarding the downloading of dives, everything else works fine. The other reason I couldnt give 5 stars is the small number of dives it logs (Only 24 I think). Oceanic could have pushed that to at least 50-60 in my opinion.

Great dive computer and sport watch. Very easy numerals to read. Only issue is with the complicated instructions and access to the various screens. This issue may not be a problem for a generation that has grown up with computers and smart phones! I purchased the model in white.

The Geo 4.0 allows divers benefit from a high-end and stylish wrist-watch computer packed with rich features like Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, Oceanics' exclusive Dual Algorithm Buhlmann ZHL-16c based PZ+, or DSAT based, algorithm, deep stop option and a redesigned user interface with "step back" - which allows forward and backward navigation through menus and settings. Additionally, a second Nitrox mix (both programmable to 100%) is available, as well as firmware auto-update which allows the user to download and install operational improvements or even future new features through the PC Interface (with optional cable). With dual algorithm and optional conservative factor settings, the Geo 4.0 may be programmed to provide no deco and deco profiles like virtually every computer on the market.

4 Operating Modes: WATCH (alternate time, chrono, daily alarm, countdown timer), NORM (Air and Nitrox), GAUGE (with run timer) and FREE (tracks calculations to allow switching between NORM and Free). Switch between up to 2 Nitrox mixes to 100% O2 with no restriction (Gas 1 may be up to 100% and may be less or greater than Gas 2). Stop times less than 3 minutes - displays minutes & seconds, deep stop with countdown timer - maybe turned on or off, 2-minute countdown at half your max depth, for dives greater than 80' (25m). Single button access to "last dive" display (max depth & bottom time), data retention - maintains calculations indefinitely when the battery is changed, audible alarm with flashing LED light, 24 dive on-unit log book and history mode includes total number of dives, max depth, total dive hours, and lowest temp.

Optional PC interface with OceanLog download and settings upload, 24 dive log memory for diving and 99 dives in free dive mode. The computers altitude algorithm is Buhlmann, IANDT, RDP (Cross) with altitude correction and O2 limits based on the NOAA tables and provides altitude adjustability from 3,000' to 14,000' (916m to 4,200m). The computer is powered by a CR2430 lithium battery that can provide up to 300-dive hours. The computer has an operational depth of 330' (100m). When in low light conditions the Geo 4.0 is equipped with a backlight with an adjustable duration function and much more. The computer comes with a comprehensive owner's manual.
