J.W. Fisher TOV-2 HD Towed Video

Fishers versatile boat deployed underwater camera system that can be dropped or towed. The TOV-2 HD Towed Video system provides a cost-effective method for underwater search and inspections. The JW Fishers 2 HD system is the next generation towed video camera now standard with full-HD video! The HD-TVI camera produces 1920 x 1080 (1080p) full-HD video for sharp, detailed imaging. HD-TVI technology supports longer cable transmission distances while allowing the picture to still travel over standard coax cable, producing a zero-latency, high definition video experience.

The system is deployed over the side of the vessel and lowered to the bottom. The TOV-2 HD uses the boat's propulsion to move it through the water in the tow configuration. The camera is mounted in the housing at a downward angle giving a field of view of 50 Degree. The system can also be suspended over the side of the vessel and used as a dropped camera. Large areas can be searched and recorded without incurring time consuming check-out dives. Topside the TOV-2 HD connects to a video monitor or standard TV. The picture can be viewed on a video monitor, a TV with an HDMI connection, or Fishers VRM-2 HD. The video can also be recorded on the VRM-2 HD video monitor and recorder (see SKU: JWFVRM2HD). The VRM-2 has a built-in 10.4" (26.4cm) flat screen ultra-bright display which makes it easy to see even on sunny days; and it has a built-in digital video recorder that records up to 12 hours of video on an SD card.

The TOV is in use by U.S. and foreign military, numerous law enforcement agencies, dive rescue groups, recreational divers, commercial and recreational fisherman worldwide. Older model TOV's CANNOT be upgraded to HD technology due to the multiple hardware and software modifications. Please enquire about a credit towards a new system if HD capability is required. The system camera is a .01 lux, 1920 x 1080p, 2.1 mega-pixel camera in a rugged corrosion-proof PVC housing with two powerful 1500 lumen adjustable LED lights providing 3000 lumens of high intensity. The high-power lights are mounted on outrigger arms placing them away from the underwater housing to disperse the light pattern over a larger area and eliminating lighting hot spots. This compact system allows rapid deployment and avoids dives on false targets. TOV-2 HD Towed Video system main housing measures (D x L) 7 x 24" (17.8 x 61cm) and weighs 53 lbs (24kg). The LED light and camera control box measure 14 x 10.6" (35.6 x 27cm) and weighs 9 lbs (4.1kg). Unit comes equipped with leak detector circuitry. Standard system comes with (Dia. x L) 4 x 150' (10.2 x 45.7m) Kevlar reinforced and urethane coated cable that weights 20 lbs (9.1kg). Unlike battery powered systems, the TOV-2 HD is powered by 100-240 vac allowing unlimited operating time. TOV-2 HD Towed Video system is depth rated to 500' (152.4m) and comes with an owner's manual.
