JBL Magnum 38-Special Northwest Triple Sling Spear Gun

The spear gun design that started it all, the JBL Magnum series of guns is probably responsible for more speared fish than all other spear guns combined. It's no wonder; as this durable and accurate workhorse features a 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) drawn alloy barrel, corrosion resistant hardened stainless steel trigger, shaft and point. The JBL728S shaft is made from 17-4 spring stainless for durability and long life, shaft is 24" (61 cm) in length with a 5/16" diameter, and is hand-tuned for alignment then heat-treated for maximum hardness to reduce flex and provide optimum energy transfer. Handles are constructed of two-piece cast aluminum providing strength and ease of maintenance. Guns overall length is 36" (91.5 cm).

The Magnum 38 Special Northwest features three 9/16" x 16" (14.3mm x 406mm) Hi-Mod JBL216 bands with 302 stainless wire wishbones. JBL's unique latex formulation and dip manufacturing process delivers radical modulus strength. The power curve increases as bands are stretched for optimum performance. Special anti-oxidants help protect against harmful U.V. rays, prolonging sling life. Gun has a one hand safety and trigger operation.

Let's get right to the point, these tips are designed to punch through even the toughest fish, penetrating thick skin and hard bone. Constructed of hardened 17-4 stainless with a razor-sharp finish they'll make short work of just about any game fish. Low-profile, stainless wings are quickly deployed and angled to grab tight and hold on. Sliding wing retainer allows for easy removal of fish. Our patented (#4685239) rotating design allows for 360°-degree spin, providing greater holding power and minimizing the chance of your point unthreading from the shaft because of a fish "rolling" in battle. 2-5/8-inch wing span designed to perform even after impact on rock and reef, the JBL843 is a durable workhorse. Gun is equipped with the JBL515 Shock Line. Sometimes we miss or we shoot a large fish and the recoil can pull the gun out of your grip, whichever the shock line will keep you in control.
