Popped open on first dive

Used light for night dive, 1st dive for this light. About 2 ft from surface light popped open in my hand. It was still latched, but popped over the closure. Trying to get credit for it.

Great light for the price

Light weight and easy to use. Fits comfortably in my hand. Used it on a night dive and in swim throughs in Cozumel. Worked without any problems and was not heavy in my hand. At over 200 lumens, it provided as much light as I needed for both purposes.

Small but strong and bright!

Went to Palau last week and used it in Siaes tunnel. Used it with my GoPro and the result was amazing. Didn't light up the whole tunnel but it helped a lot with close up shots. Handy and light weight.

Sealing mechanism not improved

The sealing mechanism has not improved. Same ol design as the 1st gen. read the reviews and you'll see that it's a flawed design, pops open all the time. I had one that popped open in my pocket on the first dive, was not bumped or anything, just shifted around in my pocket. Not at all reliable. Since it looks like they have not upgraded the design, I cannot recommend this product. The bulb will last the lifetime of the light, which is about 1-3 dives. Ikelite are you listening?

Ikelite's 2nd Generation LED lights contain sophisticated circuitry and heat sink technology to ensure that they stay bright throughout its lifetime. Other lower cost lights run unregulated, reducing overall light output with extended use and limiting the lifespan of the LED. A specially designed lens concentrates these exceptionally bright LEDs to form a powerful and penetrating spot beam. Many divers prefer the natural looking light of white LEDs.

Ikelite selected the highest quality 5-watt 205 lumens white LEDs for maximum brightness and durability. Ikelite's highly efficient drivers yield an LED lifespan of 50 - 100 times the life of standard incandescent lamps, making replacement bulbs virtually obsolete. LED lights burn 2 1/2 to 3 times longer (7 hour burn time) on a set of 6 "AA" alkaline/Ni-MH batteries (not included) than their halogen counterparts. Less frequent battery replacements help both your pocketbook and the environment. These LEDs maintain their maximum brightness level much longer and without the low-battery "dimming "effects of traditional lights.

The PCa LEDs run cool and can be used for extended periods of time above water-making them the perfect choice for every adventure. When the batteries are drained, the LED lights continue to emit a lower intensity output for hours or even days-long after incandescent lights have quit. This extended illumination period can make all the difference in an emergency situation. Light is rated to the depth of 300' (90 meters).
