Great BC, advertisement is missing detailed information.

Awesome BC especially for side mout diving. Size chart is not accurate, S-M fits me great with plenty of adjustment room (I use a Lg normal BC). Superb lift and very streamlined, great connection points and attachment configuration. The advertisement by Hollis of a SMS double and configured for single backmount is true but misleading, no weight pockets included and if weight pockets are added to the waist strap for single back mount there is very limited space, and no room for side pockets. Also side pockets are not included, which in my opinion is essential for Sidemount or Single Tank back mount diving. If your an advanced diver that travels, with the expectation of this system being modular to accommodate SMS diving and travel Single Tank Back Mount diving I suggest going ahead and purchasing at least 4 or more bi-glide keepers with 4 or more D rings (attach side pockets on the waist belt) and purchase a set of weight pockets (all available at LeisurePro). Regardless of what any tech or service expert advises the Hollis Back Weight Plate will not work with single tank back mount diving - covers the back cam band slots. Unless your SMS diving with a dry suite I have not found a need for the Back Weight Plate.

Very well built and great quality

Great product, very well built, double bladder for redundancy. Flys great and although I have a couple of dives on it so far it has been working flawlessly. I am retiring my dive rite wings and going sidemount. I should have done this years ago, sidemount is the only way to go. No more backmounted tanks for me.

great but some what bulky, heavy

Great BC but seems hard to adjust... the crotch strap is not easy to grab wihtout help. I use it for side mounts and think side mounts is great. I think the bc is heavy, bulky and not very easy to adjust without help. it has plenty of lift. I did note the air release, not that well at all. you have to make sure it is straight up else air will not escape. either uppper or lower, you may need to turn, flip whatever it takes to release the air as it seems to get trapped. there is no weight system but i understand frm Hollis it will be here soon. i had to get bag holders to attach to shoulder straps on back on bc.

Good BC but not what I expected

Don't get me wrong: it's a great BC but Nomad is better. The donut-shaped wing in SMS100 causes the buttplate to raise when inflated and therefore is a hassle to use as a sidemount harness. The bright side is that I found it before using my just bought SMS100 and for the second time, the LeisurePro return system was flawless.

Hollis Gear's SMS100 Side Mount System was designed not just with the side-mount cave divers in mind, but any diver. Whether you are a beginner, advanced or technical diver, this kit was designed for you. The SMS 100 is suitable for side-mounting twin or single cylinders, but also for use with re-breathers or rear mounted singles. This system can be used in any environment from open water to the overhead environment.

The system is ready-to-dive out-of-the-box.

This bulletproof constructed system allows full visibility over your gear, diver can perform gas checks/management, configure and monitor all gauges, valves and hoses without assistance. The system reduces additional gear: doubles bands / hardware / manifold - benefit when traveling, aids in transporting gear to and from the beach or boat - one tank at a time. This includes exiting the water on a boat dive. The system streamlines profile which in turn reduces drag increasing your bottom time.

The SMS100 Side-Mount System Harness comes equipped with 6-stainless-steel D-rings on the padded shoulder straps with 4-pre-bent for accessory attachment. The harness has adjustable shoulder and sternum straps equipped with squeeze-style side-release buckles for easy donning and doffing. The Hollis SMS100 Harness has a stainless-steel latch-style waist buckle with adjustable crotch strap. The crotch strap is equipped with an additional stainless-steel D-rings for attachment of accessory or scooter. All hardware is manufactured from 316- marine-grade stainless-steel.

The Hollis SMS100 Side-Mount System, bladder with inflator mechanism and overpressure relief/dump valve, is a 360° elastic bungee system (removable) wing that provides 52 lbs. (23.6 kg) of lift capacity. Bladder has a centrally located inflator mechanism elbow to avoid tank valve/regulator interference, lower left pull dump/overpressure relief valve (on single wing) and lower left and right (dual wing) and the inflator system is made from durable impact resistant plastic with a corrugated rubber hose. The internal components and inlet quick-disconnect nipple are made from chrome plated brass. The SMS 100 Wing is equipped with upper and lower cam band slots for single cylinder mounting.

This bulletproof constructed wing is manufactured using 1000-denier Cordura nylon with a polyurethane lamination outer shell & 15mm urethane internal bladder(s). The SMS 100 bladder is streamlined designed for reduced drag and passing through confined spaces. Included with the wing is a 3/8" threaded low-pressure quick-disconnect hose (or 2 with redundant dual wing) and an owner's manual.
