computer failed minutes into wreck dive at 110 feet. it switched itself into surface mode then flashed different depths and times and reverted back to surface mode. luckily I was on identical profile to my buddy so could complete the dive. computer was useless for second dive and display eventually locked into ALT code. Will never use this computer on another dive - don't trust it, so don't want it repaired or replaced.

Great Computer with many features. I have a few dozen dives on this computer from 40fsw to 135fsw using Nitrox and/or Air and it works flawlessly. Although not recommended, will get you out of a Deco situation safely. Like the audible alarms which are just loud enough to hear. Simple and easy to use. Would buy again.

Haven't had a chance to actually dive with it (did a chamber dive with it and it worked well) yet but I've been impressed with the decent quality of the DC and it's overall function. It's got everything you need in a basic nitrox capable DC. The PO2 settings, FO2 default on/off ability. Only small issue is there is only one button to toggle everything so it's a little slow but most functions that would be used more come up in the menu earlier so it's not really an issue. Good DC for the price. Downloading is easy.

Although I havent made a dive with this comp yet, I bought it because of its similarity to the Aeris/Oceanic line. The manuals of all three are virtually identical for operation. The Hollis has some of the meters in defferent places but still operate the same. Priced a good hundred bucks below its nearest relative, the DG O2 is well worth the money considering it does everything the XR2 does, but with only 1 button operation. In having 1 button, it makes it easy to use as long as you can keep pressure on that button. It has a backlight which the XR1 does not. It has adjustable Nitrox settings which most comps have these days and is downloadable like the XR2. So in a nutshell, you get a combo of the XR1 and XR2 for half the price. hope this helps

DG02 can be used in two modes: Digital Depth Gauge/Bottom Timer or Air/Nitrox. The Computer uses the Hollis Buhlmann ZHL-16c based Pelagic Z+ algorithm with no decompression limits closely follow PADI RDP, Decompression in agreement with Buhlmann ZHL-16c and French MN90, No Decompression Deep Stops - Morroni, Bennett, Decompression Stops (not recommended) - Blatteau, Gerth, Gutvik, Altitude - Buhlmann, IANTD, RDP (Cross), and Altitude corrections and O2 limits based on NOAA tables. It's convenient, small size is perfect for the minimalist diver but despite its compact wrist size dimensions, it is still incredibly easy to read. Computer has a maximum operating depth of 400' (120 meters), has on/off audible alarms with flashing LED, backlight display for low light and night diving conditions.
When activated on the surface with a push of a button the computer with display in surface mode activation/diagnostic, serial number, surface, time to fly, time to desaturation, plan, log and reset (clear). In dive mode the computer displays no decompression dive, deep stop, safety stop, decompression, violation (conditional, delayed, & gauge), high PO2 and high O2. The numerical displays of the computer are dive number, depth, maximum depth, FO2 set points, PO2 value, dive time remaining, total ascent time, decompression stop time, deep stop time, safety stop time, elapsed dive time, surface time, log surface intervals, time to fly, time to desaturation and temperature.
The computer is powered by a user replaceable 3 volt CR2450 lithium battery. The Hollis Gear DG02 can be button or water activated, is automatically altitude adjustable with operational from sea level to 14,000' (4,270 meters) elevation. Computer has a 24 on-board dive log function with a 999 minute history capability and with the addition of the download cable and software (optional) can download your dive data to a PC. Computer can be set for a 12 or 24 hour time format, month date and year and will provide units of measure in imperial or metric formats. The wrist computer comes with an owner's manual.
