Necessary

I would get this as the Cobalt 2 computer is prone to getting scratches on it. I went to cobalt to get my screen replaced after not putting the screen guard on mine so yes it is worth the extra $20 or so dollars for this accessory. Change out at your discretion.

not up to typical Atomic quality

I was unable to remove the top side film after applying the first of the two protectors in this pack, by the time I finished the protector itself was damaged. After that experience I took great care to start removing the top side film before I applying the second of the two protectors (contrary to instructions) and was able to get it applied but it was not easy. I will try something different when this one becomes scratched, poor quality protectors for a computer in this price range.

I use it on the Oceanic ProPlus 3 dive computer and it works perfectly.

Tired of having to submerge your computer in water so you can see through the gauge protector? Once your screen guard gets scuffed and scratched enough you can hardy read it on the surface between dives, it still protects the computers crystal, but if you can't read the computer between dives it time to replace it. The plastic screen guard is designed to protect the Atomic Cobalt Computer (see SKU: ATMCBC) from scratches, abrasions and harmful UV rays. Its protective lens and is installed easily over the computer. The Plastic Screen Guard makes a great save-a-dive-kit item. Screen guard is sold in a pack of 2.
