Innovative Scuba Neoprene Bandana with Diver Image

This neoprene bandana is perfect for me. I have tried several neoprene caps and they slide up and off my head. I have fine, slippery blonde hair and on the smallish side. Having an adjustable bandana solved all of my issues.

I really rather wear a skull cap type of head gear instead of a full blown hood when diving in warm water. This fits great and gives me a nice cover.

I started wearing hats to dive after getting tired of having my head beat up. If you're bald, you know that hair is pretty good head protection and you miss it. After one dive that included a trip up the ascent line through a cloud of sea wasps and a deco stop in the middle of the swarm, I started wearing hats to dive. First it was ball caps worn backwards (works OK), bandanas (waste of time), lycra tubes (not cool according to my wife), and swim hats (yuck). Then I found a neoprene cap, like a ball cap with a small bill, in a dive shop. It was pretty good and lasted about 15 years before really starting to come apart. Anyway, I have experience with this. Hoods have their place, but they are a pain to put on and overkill in many circumstances. This "bandana" looked promising and affordable. I just got back from Provo, and it did great! It is easy on and off, there are holes in the top to vent (necessary), and it adjusts in size. It did not fill up with air, even though it overlapped the skirt of my mask on top. It did not interfere with my mask in any way. It was secure. It provides more coverage and insulation than is necessary in warm water, but so what? You should know that it was plenty large for me (average head) and covered half of my ears. Unless your head is huge, the ears have to be covered or it will not fit properly. I think it is a nice solution and I will continue to wear it.

Ordered two of theses, they were both received promptly and without defects. One-size-fits-all, could be slightly smaller but the tie allows customization. Helps to keep head warm and also keeps sun off of scalp. I would buy again if there were some additional colors and patterns.

This keeps my head warm in the deep waters of the Caribbean and protects me and my shaved head from the sun too while snorkeling. Fits too.
