Alan K : can the seat be used when using it as a sailboat?YAN G : Aquaglide product specialist advises against using the seat with the sail. Reason being, when the sail swings around, it would most likely hit you in the head. Not a good choice.

The picture makes the two pieces look way too short to work with the width of the boat.DANIEL B : Hey Merilee, I too was confused about the pic. What is not mentioned is that a section of the mast is used as the middle piece for the paddle. If your using the sail, you cannot use the paddle. Hope this helps.

Kayak option for all Multisport 270 Models (see SKU's: AGLMS and AGLMSHK). Kit converts the Multisport 270 into a comfortable, stable, sit-on-top kayak. Kit includes folding padded seat with mesh storage compartment that's perfect for a beverage, lunch, or light jacket. Aluminum shaft paddle ends clip into the top section of the Multisport Mast with convenient spring pins (see SKU: AGLSSRK). With the optional Kayak Kit the Multisport can be a safe, stable kayak or tender. Seat measures (L x W x H) 21.5" x 20.4" x 20.4" (54.6 cm x 51.8 cm x 51.8 cm) and weighs 16 oz. (450 g).
