Great for warmth but not very flexible since it's 10mm. I had to choose a much larger size than I would for a regular hood.

This fancy venting system really doesn't work well - I still get big air bubbles trapped inside. But it sure is warm!

Well made, comfortable, and most importantly, it keeps my head ward. The face opening will most likely need to be trimmed. The opening on my XL covered too much of my face. In order to trim it accurately, I put my mask on and had my wife trace a line (with a white marker) around the perimeter of the mask. I trimmed just inside of the traced line, leaving a little extra to trim off, if need be. I like the bright orange and reflective material on it. Anything to enhance visibility is a plus for me. The size chart indicated that I needed a Lg, but found it to be to snug, especially on my neck. The XL is a good fit.

Excellent quality, warm and most importantly you can be seen from a distance. And easily find on a dive boat with lots of other black hoods. They come in multiple sizes so you can for sure find one to fit you. My current one is 3 years old and still in great condition and I dive a lot. Try looking on the horizon for bobbing heads with black hoods when there are wind waves/swells. That is definitely a time when you don’t want to be invisible. I wish they would make 3 and 5 ml hoods this color also.

Absolutely love this hood. Wore it over a long diving weekend in 48 degree water and was never cold. The orange and visibility marks also stand out and I think they are stylish compared to everyone else's dark hood.

Warm, stretches nicely, very visible under water, durable, warm neck collar. Waterproof makes the best cold water gear.

I ordered this hood for one primary reason, high visibility. I am a rescue/safety swimmer for some major sailing regattas. When I go in the water, I want members of the team to be able to keep track of me. When the hood arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the visibility of the hood. Not only is it a good orange color, the reflective strips and logo are quite effective. As far as the thickness, I found it works very well for me. It can be a wee bit warm at times, but not often. Plus when I get out of the water, I do not have to immediately get a hat on. Very good piece of kit and well worth the money.

This hood is definitely not for warm water use. It is well suited for temps 50 degrees and below. The quality is excellent. The reflective marks work great at increasing your visibility both at depth and on the surface. Would recommend for anyone who frequently dives at night or in any situation with reduced visibility.
