Shopper : Does the mask fit into this case with the lenses facing up? I'm concerned about the lenses getting scratches against the plastic interior.Mar G : It’s big enough so your mask doesn’t touch the inside, I tried putting my mask with the lenses facing up and it does fits (I have a scubrapro’s Trinidad 3, it’s a frameless mask so I think any frameless model with fit as mine) also I’m positive you can put 2 masks in like thisMar G : I don’t think it’ll scratch the lenses... the plastic is pretty soft and without any roughnesses. It’s big enough that the mask doesn’t touch the inside and I tried putting mine with the lenses facing up and it fit (I have scubapros’s Trinidad 3) and that way I think you can fit 2 masks in there.DEBI J : The mask goes in facing forward. The rim around the lens on my mask keeps the lens from touch anything but if that is a major concern of yours you can wrap the mask in a cloth before putting it in the case. My husband and I both have this case and the lens on our masks have never been scratched.CHRIS S : I dont recall if its its face up or not but I do now it is impossible for plastic to scratch glass.

Must Have!!

Pretty functional, works as a replacement for a loosen or damaged mask box, as a box for a personalized save a dive kit, as a safe box with clean water for the computer or camera just after a dive... the size is just perfect and it seals just enough to make everything on the inside safe

XS Scuba Plastic Protective Mask Box Review - Scuba Gear Reviews

Very good value. Since we spent a fair amount on masks it only follows to keep them in good working order. Bought a couple to keep all masks in good working order. Great to have when packing items in suit cases so as not to squash the silicon out of shape. Great knowing when we go to use the masks they are in top shape having been stored properly.

Think of something else.

Mask hinge broken out of the shipping box. This box was an exact placement for my last box which did not hold up inside a dive bag handled by the airlines.

Excellent, large size.

I didn't buy it for my mask, I put dive electronics in, my computers, compass, even have a couple of extra carabiners, some sea drops, bonine, even sunscreen, all in one. I bought another, and keep my full Big Blue 5800ELP torch in it, complete with charger, hand mount, filters, and an extra battery. So yeah, lots of space.

Deluxe? I think not.

It's smaller than I expected. I would prefer a box that doesn't deform the mask skirt when it's packed in there. Also, if I'd known that the mask I ordered was going to come with it's own, more generously sized box, I wouldn't have ordered this one. Perhaps that should be clarified on the product descriptions. I ended up using it as a save-a-dive kit box.
