Performs well

This is my first tusa regulator and so far I like it. It performs well and breathes easy, almost too easy. As my personal preference, I keep the flow adjustment turned down all the way. When it’s turned up as soon as you think about taking a breath your lungs are blasted full of air. Not a bad problem but I prefer the lower flow setting. I would recommend this for any diver and those in a cold water environment .

This is my first tusa regulator and so far I like it. It performs well and breathes easy, almost too easy. As my personal preference, I keep the flow adjustment turned down all the way. When it’s turned up as soon as you think about taking a breath your lungs are blasted full of air. Not a bad problem but I prefer the lower flow setting. I would recommend this for any diver and those in a cold water environment .

The RS-1001 First Stage Regulator boasts a balanced diaphragm system design, upgraded with an enhanced HP poppet assembly for increased reliability. The balanced diaphragm ensures minimal variation in intermediate pressure as tank pressure changes. This first stage regulator is environmentally sealed, protecting delicate internal components from contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine, or pool acids, which can cause corrosion and deteriorate performance.

The first stage features two high-flow low-pressure ports (LP) for optimized second stage performance and easier breathing. These high-flow ports deliver air smoothly to both the primary and octopus second stages at all tank pressures. The RS-1001 First Stage also has two standard LP ports with 3/8" threads and two high-pressure ports (HP) with 7/16" threads. The first stage regulator weighs 1.87 lbs. (850 g).

The RS-1001 Second Stage comes with an ortho-conscious silicone mouthpiece for comfort, and a diver-adjustable sensitivity control for smooth air delivery with each breath. The "surface" or "dive" control allows users to adjust breathing ease for different dive segments. The "surface" position reduces free flow likelihood and is recommended for cold water diving. In the "dive" position, the control uses a venturi effect to power-assist the diver's breathing. The exhaust valve features a large, flexible design for minimal exhaust resistance. The second stage uses a reliable downstream demand valve design.

The second stage regulator includes a 29" (74 cm) low-pressure 3/8" threaded hose, with the second stage and hose weighing 5.28 oz. (150 g). The regulator system comes with an owner's manual.
