This is 420 SS grade What type of sheath/knife locking mechanism? Button and spring locking mechanism Is is sturdy enough to use as a prying tool? Not recommended as a prying tool... most pointy knives are not, with that said even blunt knives ( or anything ) will have a breaking point. Does it rust easily? Not easily, bu it is not rust proof. adequate care will ensure a longer useful knife. Great Knife

I have had my K6 for a while now and I love it. It has the convenience of quick release with a large full size blade. With the old full size knifes you had to release the thick rubber loop on top of the hilt. This is so much better.

Now that's a knife

I purchased this knife on a recommendation from my son who has had one for 15 years and he said it is awesome especially when he hits strong currents, he is capable of anchoring himself

I have had my K6 for a while now and I love it. It has the convenience of quick release with a large full size blade. With the old full size knifes you had to release the thick rubber loop on top of the hilt. This is so much better.

Loaded with cutting power, traditional full-sized dive knife delivers the goods. If you're a fan of full-sized dive knives you're going to appreciate Scubapro's all-purpose K6. Featuring a quality stainless steel blade with a traditional clip point, the K6 offers a fine hollow-ground cutting edge on the lower edge of the blade -- best for making clean slicing cuts, and a serrated edge on top -- best for sawing through rope. There's also a notch for cutting line. The contoured handle has a finger indent and a ribbed texture to make it easy to maintain a solid grip, even when wearing wet gloves. On the base of the handle is a stainless surface that can be used for hammering. The K6 comes with an injected molded sheath, two quick- adjusting buckle straps, and delivers all the cutting power and handling convenience you're ever going to need. The knife has a 6.1 (15.5cm) long blade.
