The case design is the same in both cases what UK did was they changed the guts of the light and kept everything else the same. This way the O rings, switches and grips are the same for both lights.MATT B : I use both pistol grip and lantern grip depending on application. The lantern grip is great for relaxing, you can tuck it up to your chest instead of holding it out front reducing your drag in the water. It also helps keep the light out of others faces as it is held down lower. If you're looking up a lot (manta rays, walls, caves, etc) the lantern grip is far better. Switching grips is easy, be sure the lamp has the removable grip mount (slide mount and screw).ROGER P : I do not know for sure if it will fit the LED version but it looks like the housing is the same as the HID so I assume so. It is held on by a screw that binds against the housing. Care should be taken tightening this screw. If too tight it will pierce/crack the housing or warp it and you will get a leak. If too lose it will slip off and since the attachment ring is on the handle, if you get tangled up on the ladder and the light gets stuck the housing pulls away from the handle and when you get on board you only have the handle clipped to your BC and the light is just a memory and you are left with that wave of helplessness and despairMICHAEL P : The UK website shows only one lantern grip, for "aqua sun/light cannon/D8".
