Easy kicking fins

By ROBERT P.

I have tried several others and have found none better. My original fins are still good. I bought these because they were on sale to use as backup. About the sizing. My original V 12's were size Regular. The catalog lists a M and XL. I previously ordered an XL and they were too big. This time I ordered a M. When I received them they were size Regular like my originals and fit perfect. I wear a size 12 shoe.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this a firm rubber (stiff) or a softer rubber like Scuba Pro's Twin Jets?
ISAIAS B  Yes, the Oceanic Vortex V12 Split Fins, (is softer rubber), like Scuba Pro's Twin JetsEnter an answer to this question.
JENNIFER H  Firm rubber
MONTE S  Are these fins the same size as Atomic Splitfin?
JENNIFER H  The Atomic Split fins the come in size Small, medium, large and x-large. The Vortex v12 the come in size x-small,small,medium or x-large
MONTE S  Outside dimension is what I meant. If you put an atomic fin next to an oceanic fin ,would they be the same length and width.
JENNIFER H  Oceanic vortex v12 The width start from 8.7 to 9.5 inches. The length start from 23.5 to 25 inches Atomic split fins The width start from 7.75 to 8 inches. The length start from 23.5 to 25.5 inches. Looks like the vortex v12 the width is bigger than the atomic, but the length is 1/2 bigger on the atomic,i hope this helps. My vortex split fins are width 9 inches and the length 25 inches
MONTE S  Thanks
Shopper  Using for snorkeling, not with dive boot. I have a men's size 12 foot. Will Med. be the right size?
YAN G  These are designed to be worn with a boot. Will not be comfortable if used without one.
THOMAS L F  I think medium will be too small, you'll need a booty to avoid rash. I am a 10 shoe and use a x large ( but for my dry suit) so a large should work. Too small and water suction makes them too hard to get off.
Shopper  Will my Mares Flexa DS 5mm dive boot size 10 fit these?
SCOTT C  Mine do.
YAN G  Probably not. Because of the thick sole, they might not work.
Shopper  Are these positively or negatively buoyant?
GEORGE A  These fins are slightly negative but either way for the money they are a great set of fins, i use them for warm water vacation fins.
Bart B  Negative
DENNIS S  negatively
MINH D  From what I can remember they are positively buoyant , almost neutral..... like 75% sure bout this
JUNE H  They are negatively buoyant.
AMYAS V  Barely positive about neutral meaning if you lost them while 20ft say goodbye vs at the surface.
DAVID D  negatively buoyant. These are a deal based on 35 years commercial diving. Flexible with power have extended my dive career 10 years.
SANDRA R  negatively
BRUCE M  They will sink if they come off...so I'd say negatively bouyant.
