Questions about this item:

Martine C  Could I make other weight like 1/2 pound or 2 0r 3 pounds ?
GARY M  Yes, just fill to the level you want.
STEPHEN M  Yes, there are lines inside to mold that you can use to make different size weights.
SHAWN S  I have done just what you're proposing with good results down to about 2 lbs. Anything less than that and you are better off making a small bar or ingot, as the center portion to wrap around a belt is very fragile. Also, I have made some 5 lb bricks by pouring molten lead in the impressions left my the casting, filling them. I have confirmed all of these weights with a precise scale. Some work may be required to figure out how full to fill your mold to achieve the desired weight.
TRISHAN B  Yes, , you can but it might be hard to get an accurate weight on them
Martine C  where are you situated ? It'll be less expensive for me to ask for a delivery in Vermont ? I'm in Quebecandthe delivery is very expensive
TRISHAN B  North carolina
CLINT O  Yes, you can make any size weight by simply filling the mold to the appropriate level. While getting an exact weight might be difficult you can estimate quite easily.
WILLIAM J  Sure, just fill it less. I have a selection of weights like this I made.
GUY M  Yes see the lines on the sides of the mold. Thats will guide you in making smaller weights. When making weights if you use wheel weight lead they will weight less than 4 pounds . Do a test run make a weight using the lines and drop them in water. weight them and adjust your pour of led by what you . You may need a map gas torch to keep the lead flowing once in the mold for a smooth pour.
JIM P  yes simply weigh your lead before you melt or pour it. I made from 1 - 4.5 lbs max with this mold
MICHAEL S  Yes, I made a bunch of 2 pound weights with this mold. The lines inside the mold are in one pound increments (I think) so you can make different sized weights. But of course the lighter ones will be thinner than the heavy ones, just like people.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JACOB T  To cast weights at home
MICHAEL D  I have leftover lead to use for any project, and this is a thing which I want to need in the future. I haven't been diving in a while, so I have to buy equipment all over again. Rolling my own appeals to me.
RYAN L  Made my own plaster-of-Paris mold, it was only good as a one off, damaged the mold removing the weight. Decided to stop messing around and just get an aluminum mold.
JEFFERY M  So I can make my own weights, they get expensive.
JAY G  I had one before, makes good weights. I ended up breaking the one I had. But made a bunch of weights with it before it broke!
DOUG B  Best price I found on line
CHRISTOPHER L  Wanted to start a new hobby.
Dan P  This should help me make different size weights with the same profile on my belt.
MARCOS M  It can be used with different size of weights
GUY N  MOLDING MY OWN DIVE WIEGHTS
TREVOR K  Bought this as a way to save money on weights Ive used it several times and am happy with finished product. Melting lead is dangerous be sure to do your research.
LOUIS B  I like that when itâ??s not filled with lead that you can whack your partner in the side of the head with it and it makes a sound not unlike a gong.
