Yup... it´s a bit expensive, being an island, so most stuff is shipped, but you can budget for it. ...and it is surrounded by clear, warm, blue water (in most areas, there is a plant on the SW side)...

Great Whites are my favorite as well. Have you ever been on a shark dive anywhere? My goal is to get down to Isla de Guadalupe off the coast of Mexico. I have talked to people that have done it and it sounds incredibly cool.

Scuba Gear Customer Review: Body Glove 3mm Barrier Front Zip Vest - $43.95

Posted 11/5/2009 7:23:06 AM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Body Glove 3mm Barrier Front Zip Vest 3mm barriere front zip body glove vest

The web page was easy to use and ordering from there was simple as well. When reviewing the sizes, however, it only mentioned weight and bust size. I followed that in order to get the right size which said it would have been an XL. When I got it the size was actually at 10-12. The wet suit I just purchased was a 14. So I had to send it back as it was to small. The return was just as simple as the ordering. I was impressed with the way the entire transaction was handled and would certainly deal with Scuba.com in the future.

Scuba Gear Customer Review: Pinnacle 3mm Merino Torso Heater - $102.50

Posted 11/4/2009 7:53:01 AM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Pinnacle 3mm Merino Torso Heater Best money I have spent on SCUBA apparel

I have searched for years for the right wetsuit for me. I had settled on a lycra skin with 1 ml rashguard for water warmer than about 79 degrees. I bought the torso warmer and did 20 plus dives in a week with it, and I was totally satisfied. Easy to get on and off (I was worried about pulling it over my hips). It allows for freedom of movement, slipped right on over a skin, and kept me toasty warm. I am sold on this and it has my highest recommendations.

Scuba Gear Customer Review: Hyperflex by Henderson 6 Oz Short Sleeve Rash Guard - $19.95

Posted 11/4/2009 5:39:08 AM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Hyperflex by Henderson 6 Oz Short Sleeve Rash Guard Ugh too small

I love Henderson Product the durability and smart look they give divers. However, in much need of a new rash guard I purchased 2 new ones. The size on the product was correct, but someone sewed in the wrong label. The large was a small size. I held it up to a medium and it was smaller than that one. But I will purchase Henderson products again as they are the best.
