The Sea & Sea YS-03 Solis Universal Lighting System is a great value strobe package which includes everything you need to combine the YS-03 Solis with most compact camera/housing combos. Everybody can enjoy TTL strobe photography with this affordable, easy to use, compact underwater strobe. Easy and Versatile Slave TTL. As the YS-03 SOLIS has been designed to mimic the light intensity of the camera's built-in flash, it is not necessary to manually adjust output. The YS-03 SOLIS is compatible with any camera with a pre-flash and that has a TTL flash exposure function, regardless of make. Simple controls the YS-03 Solis has been designed for any underwater photographer to use and is easy to understand. The only control is the rotary power switch and by simply turning the switch from off to TTL you can take beautiful images. Comes with diffuser as standard. The half-translucent section diffuses and softens the light from the strobe. Using the diffuser gives softer, more evenly exposed images. The diffuser will also help reduce effects of overexposed images or when strong light produces shade/shadow in the image. YS-03 Solis realizes a wide beam angle of 100-degrees x 100-degrees. With the diffuser beam angle will increase to 110-degrees x 110-degress.  The YS-03 Solis Strobe has a guide number of (ISO 100/m) (land) 20, is powered by 4x AA alkaline batteries 6V or 4x AA Ni-MH 2500mAh batteries 4.8V and provides 230 flashes with alkaline batteries and with Ni-MH 300 flashes. Recycle time (full) is 2.5 seconds with alkaline batteries and with Ni-MH batteries 1.9 seconds. The strobes color temperature is 5600-degrees K and with the diffuser 5250-degrees K. Unit is depth rated to 250' (75m), measures (W x H x D) 2.7" x 4.3" x 5.2" (68mm x 108mm x 129mm), weighs 15.2 oz. (430 g) without batteries while attached to a fixing bolt and approximate buoyancy is positive 0.4 oz. (10 g) with batteries underwater. Auto power off function, sync cord type is fiber-optic cable, and the flash has an over-pressure relief valve. Included with the YS-03 Solis Strobe are a diffuser, diffuser strap, fixing bolt, and tube of silicone grease . For mounting the light on a compact camera housing the system includes a Sea & Sea Single Tray X, a Flexible Grip 280X and a Fiber Optic Cable II M/2 Connectors.  Having complete control of light placement on your subject is important to good underwater photography. Being able to create dramatic or unique lighting cannot be done with a fixed strobe or movie light. Add diversity and create dramatically lit photographs or video with this articulating Flex Arm from Sea & Sea. Adding artificial light to underwater photography and video's is the key to better images. Having the best platform to help provide that lighting is as important as the artificial light itself. Flex arm features about 8 joints/knuckles, allowing you to position it for various lighting angles and effects. Arm is covered with a comfortable neoprene cover that is easy to grip and protects the flex joints from debris. Adding a stable platform to mount your compact camera and light arm complete a quality lighting set. Tray is made from corrosion resistant anodized aluminum. The trap measures (W x H x D): 8.7" x 5.2" x 3.1" (217mm x 130mm x 77mm) and weighs 9.6 oz. (275 g). The Sea & Sea Fiber Optic Cable II is a coiled sync cord to link an underwater strobe to your cameras waterproof housing. It is compatible with all Sea & Sea strobes and housings. It allows your strobe to be triggered by your cameras built-in flash. Its coiled design allows for more length potential without tangling and to accommodate complete flexibility of all strobe angles. The cable is composed of methacrylic resin, which is a combination of 613 fibers. Compared with single fiber cables, the Fiber-Optic Cable II is more resistant to distortion, bending and physical impact. This allows for increased durability. The cable is also bi-directional and is designed for use with internal optical YS-converters. Cable is available in multiple lengths of 12", 18" and 29" (30.5cm, 45.7cm and 73.67cm) depending on camera housing and strobe set up. The fiber diameter is 0.059" (1.5mm) and the cable diameter is 0.105" (2.7mm).
