The Cobra graphs each dive profile and has a dive simulator, which offers you to run through your dive without getting your feet wet!   Navigating the Menu:   Suunto Cobra has four main operating modes - TIME mode (TIME), DIVE mode (DIVE), PLAN mode (PLAN), and MEMORY mode (MEMORY). To toggle between the main modes, press the MODE button. To select a sub mode in DIVE, PLAN and MEMORY modes, press the UP/DOWN buttons. Simple, intuitive and user friendly the Cobra. The Cobra uses the Suunto RGBM algorithm developed by Suunto and Bruce R. Wienke, BSc, MSc, PhD. The goal of Suunto is to keep you safe. The computer has a 36 hour of diving logbook memory. The Cobra provides audible alarms and notifications for dive time, maximum depth, tank pressure, high pO2, fast ascents, and decompression ceiling violations. The Cobra has a back lite display which makes seeing your dive data easy during night and day dives. Cobra provides a depth display range from 0' to 492' (0 meters to 150 meters) with an operational range of 0' to 262' (0 meters to 80 meters), its clock can be set with a 12 or 24-hour format, provides temperature reading above and below the surface to 1.5&#176;F (1&#176;C) accuracy and is altitude adjustable up to 10,000' (3,000 meters). The computer can be programed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 50% oxygen and displays oxygen partial pressures from 17.4 psi to 23.2 psi (1.2 to 1.6 bars). The Cobra is powered by a user replaceable 3-volt CR2450 lithium ion battery. The Cobra has a pressure readout of 4,000 psi (300 bars) with a maximum allowed pressure of 5,000 psi (360 bars). The Computer can be set for imperial (feet) or metric (meter) measurements. Computer comes with an owner's manual and USB cable. For safety of your investment the Cobra is equipped with a quick disconnect hose fitting allowing you to disconnect the computer from the 7/16" threaded high pressure hose. This feature allows you to stow your computer separately from your regulator system and is convenient for logging and downloading dive information. Love my cobra

When on our wonderful dive trip to grand Turk, spent a week on the wall and had an awesome time.
The computer made it so easy to dive on the wall safely, and because it was integrated with the regulator,  it gave us our time remaining as well

Bought this to replace a 25 year old sunnto dive computer so the new technology was easier, fun to use. Had no issues with it. Particularly like the dive time remaining feature.

Cobra air integrated dive computer

I haven't used it yet but my dive buddy swears by his. I like the larger viewing area than my previous computer. The compass is what sold me on this set. Have tried others in the past, but found them to be inaccurate if not perfectly level. Overall this is a very nice looking and functional set. The service and delivery was great as always.

I have used (and replaced) this computer for 15 years.  It is very conservative which is good.  I don't recommend the QD (quick disconnect) which is mostly unnecessary and something else that can go wrong.  I prefer the "card compass" as opposed to the electronic compass, but you do have treat it carefully (don't bang it around too much) or the card will come off the spindle.

Cobra dive computer

This is the 3rd Suunto air intregrated computer that iv'e owned. I really like the remaining air feature based on your breathing rate. That helps me a lot in gauging my air consumption rate. I also use a Suunto wrist computer as a back up.

Cobra Air Intregrated dive computer.

This unit worked perfectly for our annual dive trip this year. It was a last-minute replacement for a computer that I could not get serviced in time. So, got it because it was most similar to previous computer and an excellent value.
I have read other reviews that indicated reliability issues with this product - but haven't seen any myself.

So far, so good.

Dive computer works great. The alarms are too quiet for me to hear underwater when I purposely invoked them, but that might be a normal thing for dive computers.

The compass requires being level and can be easy to get stuck without realizing it.

The main reason I'm a bit disappointed is that it only logs the depth profile, instead of the cylinder pressure and the temperature as well. It keeps track of the total cylinder pressure change over the dive, and the lowest temp, but I would really much prefer that information to be sample like the depth profile so that I can find my SAC at different depths and conditions during the dive.

The Suunto Cobra 3 has a digital compass that is more tolerant on being off level, and it logs the cylinder pressure and temps every sampling period, so I honestly wish I had spent the extra $50-$100 and got that one instead.

I love the computer log book takes some time to learn to use but very simple and easy to follow interface while diving they do have issues with depth sensor and this was a replacement dive computer my first one failed after 7 years.  Love the computer enough to buy a second but cannot give it 5 stars due to a know issues with depth sennor failure issues

I really had to read the manual before I did anything to set up the computer.  The directions are not very clear and some trial-and -error is required.  After the setup, the computer works well and is accurate.  I have not yet tried nitrox settings, so I don't know if that will be difficult or not.

Very nice Computer

I had my cobra for 15 years, many hundreds of dives (for fun , DMing and instructing) around the world. Getting another because apparently 15 years is it's limit... which seems reasonable! LOL

we have had Suunto Cobra computers since 2004.  Absolutely love them.  Over 1300 dives each on our computers.  I just bought another one as a backup for overseas trips.  My husband gave his original cobra to his brother when brother started diving five years ago and replaced his with the cobra with the digital computer...not fond of digital compass so still using traditional mechanical compass.  This dive computer has everything we want.

 This is a great computer. Mine has over 100 dives  on it. The battery can be changed easily.  It's very durable .  The app that goes on the phone is very self-explanatory and easy to use, it's nice to have if you haven't been in the water a while and need to brush up on how to work your computer.  oceanic also makes a Compass that can be attached to this which is nice.  

A great dive computer

I was excited to purchase this computer but a little over two years of minimal use (just past the warranty expiration) the computer started deploying that I was constantly diving.  This was not the fault of the diver with 30+ years of experience nor was it the result of temporary no fly period.  It is an inherent and well-known defect in the design of the product which causes it to think it is diving even when at the surface. The crime of this is that it cannot be fixed.  I spent over $600 on the computer and now it is a paperweight.  Completely worthless.  Do not waste your money on Suunto. They know of this design flaw and have not fixed the issue.  All Suunto products share this design flaw. You've been warned. Check out scuba blogs on this issue; I wish I had before wasting my money on this Suunto.

Worst, fails with minimal use

I've had this DC since mid 2007 and it still works great!  One complaint is when I set it up for Nitrox it reverts back to a default setting after a period of time of inactivity. And another complaint is trying to remember all the sequences to go thru to change to Nitrox, etc. Nonetheless, never had a minutes trouble with the DC not working.

Works like a charm

I had three of these because my wife likes it. All have had the sensor fail. This failure is common to Suunto. Steer away from these and get a different brand.

Suunto sensor failure is too common

First, I like it and it works well.  So far, it has been very reliable.  Here's some knocks on it.  I went back and ordered the compass.  Don't even mess around; order it with the compass.  It's a little complicated to learn, but has a lot of features.  I'm a little farsighted, but I can read it under water.  A dive buddy of mine got one about the same time and he likes his, as well.  We mostly spearfish the rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

Works as advertised

Very nice dive computer. Quick disconnect and easily downloads dive info to my mac.  Very cool.  Three buttons control all functions. The compass is very good and works when tilted.  Once you get the hang of the computers menus it is all good.  A solid value at this price point.

Good DC with nice compass

I absolutely love my new Cobra air integrated dive computer! I received it shortly after ordering it and it works wonderfully. It is well built with quality parts and I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I will be shopping again at Scuba.com for my other diving needs.

Suunto Cobra Air / Nitrox Integrated Computer

I bought this computer to replace the Cobra 2 I lost with airplane luggage. I did not go for the Cobra 3 because I did not need the compass since I have one on my D9. The is a backup computer in case my D9 looses integration with the air pressure transmitter which has happened a few times (or incase the D9 stops functioning).

My D9 was in for service so it was my only computer on a just completed Caribbean trip and it worked perfectly. 

I love Suunto computer and would recommend them to any diver

Very Good Computer

Very good product

I could have given this product a 5 star. Unfortunately, I received one of those with the defective hose issue! Just after a couple of dives, I noticed bubbles popping out of the new hose! Did not receive any email from manufacturer even though I had registered the product online. Fortunately the hose bursted before I entered the water on my 4th dive, with this brand new dive computer.
So if anyone out there has purchased after November 2011 Suunto product with high pressure hose marked
